I am from Brazil and i think hipsway is one of the bando from 80´s. In my opinion this song is one of the best i have heard in my life. I hope, one day, attend their show. It will be a dream...reminding me my youth and good moments..
I saw Hipsway at 15 years old in concert. Fast forward 35 years !!! and I still love this song, and had the Hipsway album now CD now downloaded. Graham Skinner - message me, I’d like to take you out for a drink….I went from Glasgow to LA, now at 52 in Huntington Beach
There are not so many people who know Hipsway and they were not particularly famous in Stockholm in the 80's. But there was another cosmopolitan city that played them often, namely Athens Greece in all New Wave club bars. Hipsway is the most funk new wave band ever, they play funk, but sings new wave. Unforgettable generation band!
I left Scotland 20 years ago and thought until now Hipsway had disappeared into oblivion.......excuse the pun but this is music to my ears.....please upload anything you have
Saw Hipsway at the 9:30 Club in DC way back in 86 or 87. I had seen a lot of bands and they were one of the tightest live performances I have ever seen. Still love this album and wish I could hear Scratch the Surface; I don't think it made it to release in the US.
Way better than Jim Kerr of Simple Minds that is for sure, but if you had seen Texas life in the early days, THAT was a voice! Annie Lennox too. But yes I keep coming back to this album - it is epic.
Simply brilliant. Graeme’s voice still as good as back in the day. Hipsway the album is a must have for anyone’s collection.
I'm 55.5 years old. I absolutely love ❤them. Seriously underrated. Glorious stuff. ❤🎉
