I don't understand the repository version of SureForms, or what you mean? I have the premium version ...

This is the repository version, wordpress.org/plugins/sureforms/ it is the free version this will also work with the premium version but it doesn't use any premium features

Yes they would be able to login, and yes I would imagine you could adapt code to allow them to publish front end form edits
