Prince William has visited Queens Bay Lodge care home in Edinburgh, speaking to some of the 28 residents as they enjoyed ice creams in the garden and discussed the impact of Covid-19 over the past year.

He lost his mum too, carried the burden as the future king ever since he was born but grew up to be such a wonderful man who always carries his duties in public with a smile on his face while going through all of his “only-God-knows” personal struggles. @Ann Green Is that a thinly veiled dig a Harry and Meghan, Kate's not had to put up with anything like the bad press coverage Meghan has , even if you leave race out of it Meghan was always trashed by the papers because she was an ex actress , a divorcee and American. Harry and Meghan have never been accepted as much as William and Kate. Let's not forget either that Kate's mum deliberately encouraged her daughter too try and woo the single prince William she gave up a university place in one of America's top universities as soon as it was known William was going to st Andrews. I'm sure he will make a fine king and that him and Kate are lovely people he isn't as much Diana as Harry is but he definitely has an air of his mother about him and the queen herself. It's a shame we can't skip Charles as king and hand the throne over to William when the queen sadly passes
@@stevenjackson6383 Go back and look at all the negative press coverage that Kate and her family had to put up with before they got engaged and you'll see just what a nightmare the tabloids were to them - but they didn't complain, just got on with it, and they kept their dignity. Harry and his wife said they wanted privacy but they haven't shut up since they left.

I see a lot of the Queen in prince William, duty to the people first no matter what and God knows the Royal family is going through a very hard time with the passing of prince Philipp, the bbc interview scandal and Harry’s unfortunate statements. He’s gonna be a great King one day and his mother would be extremely proud of him.
I personally think his demeanour is very much like his late mother, Princess Diana. He should be, like her, much loved and respected.
I see alot of The Queen's father in him as well as the Queen.

Charles even stated at his engagement. when asked if they were in love. Diana answered of course we are in love and Charles replied whatever being in love may be. That man was forced into that marriage and it was Diana who said it is our duty to produce the next heir. Charles is no Saint but the man should no be constantly bashed for being in love with someone else.

I'm so Thankful for the firstborn son of Diana, She felt the importance of raising him in such a way to prepare him to be a great man and will therefore make a great King! I appreciate that Diana was so invested to make both her sons prepared for the job. Sad only one listened. Nevermind that. Wills sits with the people, like you and I, taking time and making jokes. He has grown into such a mature young man. He Cares and is an example to little boys everywhere. His wife, Kate is the same. What a beautiful pair! I agree William is very special as is Catherine, his brother on the other hand is a hot mess. He should have married someone steady and strong not fake and narcissistic like the Markle trash. Visited Edinburgh 2 years ago -- thrilled to have another tour with HRH Prince William. Beautiful city, wonderful people.
Now this is how it should be done! You can see he is genuine and caring, he also has respect and compassion for everyone and can have a laugh and chat with anyone no matter their age! Total respect!
William is absolutely amazing. He has stayed strong and shown such courage and support for the Queen and his family thru all his brother’s cruel words and behavior. I used to be a republican, because ppl should be able to choose their life, but since I'm 65 now, i realize that the monarchies are far better. They can still abdicate, if they hate the job. You Brits have had an incredible queen, and her father was a stabilizing force during the war and after. I'm happy with the Swedish monarchy, too.
