I have two 2511ts now and both of them I had trouble screwing that 3rd bolt on the top rear side of the muffler. It went about the exact same way you did. Not super important or anything but interesting. Maybe coincidence idk. Also I really appreciate your parts 123 videos of porting these. It gave me the confidence to do mine. The first one I did right along with you haha. (While watching your vids)Thank you kindly good sir!
HOPPER!!! I love messing around with these saws. I have never thought to attach the pipe first and then drill it. Thank you a million times brother! Have you messed around with any of the bulk uni filter foam ever? I like to use the nylon mesh air filter (the red one) cut out all the nylon then fit a piece of green uni filter foam in between the halves. Just make sure it closes and you'll be laughing brother. Love you and your family. One other trick you can do, use prefilter material on the back side of a black debris shield, snap it all back together and it helps keep it cleaner. I bought a sheet of it online and now I'm putting it everywhere....
I took the lazy route on my 2511t...buying a pipe from Egan. It's OK unless you get in a weird position and the pipe is pointed at your head. Better have hearing protection!
Do you remember Buckin Stock 2018, when I asked you if you ever ported a CS2511T? At that time you told me that the saw probably wouldn't last long if it was ported. Has that changed? Does the CS2511T handle the extra power without degrading its life?
Hey I have a question for anyone that can answer. Just rebuilt and ported a pro mac 1010. All new gaskets. Base gasket deleted. My exhaust timing ending up being about 158. Intake was 148. Started it up ran fine and was taking a tune for about 2 minutes then sounded like it locked up. Pulls over rough now and won't start. Gas was plenty rich probably 32:1. I deburred and sanded everything pretty well. Any thoughts? Thanks
Hey bellhopper! Nope I just narrowed it up as I widened the ports. I'll have to see where it's hanging up at tomorrow as I pull it over slowly. I'll probably have to tear it down either way though.
@@bellhoppersaws everything felt very smooth and I cleaned the cylinder well. I put a good film of oil on everything as well. Turning it over before attempting the first start up seemed smooth.
@@bellhoppersaws oh really? It is in slightly like up against the clutch side bearing. I didn't notice where it was when I first tore it down and that's what seemed right to me but I guess not. Why does that cause it to lock up? Does it cause an air leak? Thank you for getting back to me so quick!
Thanks. I have the rear handle version of that saw and I’ve thought about beefing it up. Do you find it harder to control or anything? I have a 4hp MS261cm, but it’s heavy enough to hurt just picking it up. I’m wondering if, like a pistol, big power and light weight are harder to control.
If you don’t have someone to purchase the next 2511t you have, let me k ow what your wanting for it and I will very likely buy it from you. Please sir. God Bless
Yessir. Gotta love the dukes. And wrap handles on saws. Win win win
On my work 562’s I like to drill the top cover and put FrogZSkin’s over them. They love the extra air.
Sleep is so important. Thx for a great video Mr. Hopper
Yep know that feeling , that's what happens when you stay up all night long in the shop working and restoring saws .🌜🌛

They do ok as long as you dont go to far on them buddy
Nice running saw. I have a stocker right now. During this video, was this saw ported or bone stock other than the muffler mod and bar?
Sounds great

Did u cut the bridge out of the exhaust port?

If the pto side bearing is in to far it will lock up on the crank shaft also

Hey Mr hopper, sweet vid, could you fish gill it if you can't braze or weld, or did you drill through an internal baffle aswell? Cheers.
There are internal baffles as well but you could probally drill thru it from the block side of the muffler
on the echo 2511t do you have to put the screen back in the muffler? What are the advantages and disadvantages of doing this? Thank you ahead of time
After muffler mod Can you compare wirh the 201 sthil power ?
I'm looking for a jonsered 820 through a 930 chainsaw. For parts.
Is it necessary to do carb settings..?
What kind of solder is that?
What kind of flux and solder did you use?
Is it not Ported...?
May I ask, what size od and Id pipe did you use? Thanks
Its 3/4 od .058 wall
