Hi. I failed with net + in first try.i don’t know where to focus. I understand all the concepts and I studied very hard but I founded the question very confusing and pbq very intensive.
Do you think actually having the network + is valuable for a cyber security career path, or just having the knowledge is enough. I have the A+ now and thinking about learning all the network+ objective, taking a few practice tests to make sure i understand, and then move on to obtaining Security +. I guess in summary i’m wondering if it’s worth the exam cost and if employers will care about the Network+ cert after obtaining the Sec+. p.s. I’ve already been in help desk role for years.
I would probably get the knowledge and spend money on other stuff if you area already working in IT. It just depends on what you wanna do and how far you wanna go, etc.
I lack IT experience, but I’m currently participating in the Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate program. I opted for this program because it provides a discount for the CompTIA Security+ exam. Should I first complete CompTIA A+ and Network+ before pursuing Security+?
I'm updating the IT course now. I do it whenever something breaks, if not a yearly refresh! I don't control pricing for the IT course, so I can't really offer discounts on it. CourseCareers does that ^^
Have you tried going through these practice questions? Also you might want to really hit the areas where your score was low on the score card. Best of luck :)
At first I couldn't figure out how to sync your flash cards to the ios app. After figuring out what I didn't do, now I got it to work. Thank you for this. I have Darril Gibson's (RIP) CompTia Security +701 book I been studying from that book. Nice to know your flash card information came from that book as well. Thank you.
Does anyone know how to get anki to let me review all cards without it resetting? Or in other words, if i step away from learning and come back , it stays where i left off instead of starting all over again
Hey I been using your practice exams for a day now. Im at like a 50? 30 questions in. I will continue using that on my free time. I just realized people are getting their security+ exam is questions about security and not actually demonstrating hacking skills through tools? Is that correct? I am curious because I was thinking about taking a exam at a local college here but unsure what to expect. It seems you can learn online and get a security + just by studying and taking enough practice exams. Am i right?
Unfortunately, I passed Network+ a couple weeks ago. I am testing for Security+ tomorrow. I may need some material for CySA+. Will you ever create practice questions for that exam?
How difficult was it in you opinion? I’m taking mine on the 22nd and feeling confident, was it harder than Jason dions questions or more like professor messers study group questions? Good job by the way!
@@Sur_Reel Significantly easier than Jason Dion’s practice exams. If you can achieve a baseline knowledge of 70%, you’re good for the multiple choice section. Spend more time focusing on the PBQ’s, this CompTIA exam seems to have the highest amount per exam. (I had 5 PBQ’s and 80 questions)

What does TCP provide that UDP does not? A. Faster data transmission B. Connectionless data transfer C. Retransmission of lost data segments D. Negotiation of the timeout state. Correct Answer: D. Negotiation of the window buffer size in a three-way handshake Explanation: TCP provides reliable data transfer through the retransmission of lost data segments, ensuring data is delivered accurately and in order. A is incorrect because TCP can be slower than UDP due to its overhead of ensuring data integrity and order. B is incorrect because UDP provides connectionless data transfer, not TCP. D is incorrect because while TCP does manage timeout and retransmission strategies, negotiation of the timeout state is not a feature distinct to TCP over UDP in the context of the options provided. TCP's main distinction is its reliability and order guarantee through retransmission.

CySA+ is actually being created RIGHT now lol. As in the script is running and making it. It takes forever though because API rate limiting :)
