This video has an amazing title that contains a lot of information yet for most of the population it looks like a random set of letters and numbers. I love it.
Just get one... Yes, really stable. With other 6 LNBs I gave I was able to receive QO100 just on 2 pcs with close to not acceptable sound quality and frequency stabilization. The only one issue I had - i need new 3D print for helical 2.4GHz uplink antenna as Bulleye is 61mm inndiameter.
I bought a bullseye lnb to be used on ku satellite for tv channels which should arrive in a few days but later i learned it needs a power injector to work! !! Because in the seller's description it says Requires a 12-19V bias tee power injector, . 11.5 - 14V enables vertical polarization and 16 - 19V enables horizontal polarization. I can't find this power injector to buy! !! I've looked for days and I can't find it because I bought this lnb to gift my brother! !
Your satellite receiver with provide the power for the LNB, and will set correct voltage for vertical or horizontal. You only need a Bias Tee if you are not using a dedicated sat receiver.
Mine is going up this week but I'll need an adapter for my old Sky Minidish arm, as the bracket is too small. Booo! Pointing the LNB vaguely in the direction of QO by hand yields some signals, including some discernible SSB! I'm excited to get this going...
Interesting but you didn't show the drift or lack of during 10 mins like with the octagon but guess there wasn't any? Hoping this will be good enough to use with my Octagon SF8008 for video on qo100. Any idea of price?
my lnb will arrive tomorrow!!! when I use it, do I just need to use green to watch TV channels? ?? does the red go unused? ?? for tv channels is bullseye lnb stable and better than a common lnb? ????
This lnb does exactly what it says but it is much better. Frequency accuracy is astoundingly good. How. Is this possible? 10 KHz is 1ppm at 10G and most pll lnb are 30ppm. Older DRO are 300ppm.. Other high stability lnb without reference output are 300USD or more? How is this done?
I also beleive that this is the only lnb in the world where you can digitally tune it via the reference port and store the offset in memory within the lnb. So any long term drift can be corrected. Just heard this but don't know if it's a reality
How easy is it to fit this as a bare, uncased LNB into a POTY patch of the year - the standard dual band antenna for QO-100? This usually means removing the horn and fitting it in a diameter 22 mm plumbing union. 73 de M0YDH.
Can I buy the LNB from a European dealer? If I understood correctly, the 25 Mhz output can be used as kind of a GPS Timeconstant to use on an SDR. Thanks for the nice video!
You’re welcome! I did hear that they were going to be selling from fulfilment centres around the world, maybe try your countries Amazon site? I do know they ship world wide from their website and it doesn’t take too long to arrive.
@@TechMindsOfficial amazon uk has it, also some ebay sellers and aliexpress. after i get mine i will order one from ali and do a teardown and compare video to show if they are the same or a sweatshop kid is getting cheap dro lnb and colouring it red with felt tip pens
@@TechMindsOfficial Thanks - no before you show the BullsEye, you show the Octagon, with a different IF, and to demonstrate the drift. It has a low band bottom of 10.7HGz, and I'm wondering if you're able to receive QO-100, at 10.4, on that LNB, without modifications. I'm just trying it out, on a similar LNB, without much success.
adapt your receiver to use the 25mhz signal as its own clock so both lnb and receiver act as a single synced unit. the 25 mhz can be put through a frequency divider or as an input to a digital frequency synthesiser. i myself am interested in disconnecting it and adding a synth clock source as lnb input so i can maybe bring the IF frequency down even lower.
Well the LNB is actually a down converter, 10GHz roughly down to 739MHz. You can purchase further down converters so you can use a standard 144mhz radio to listen.
Sorry guys, but I am lost. What does 'RSP' mean? I downloaded the program, but none of the features on the top panel or the side panel are on the program. What am I missing? I have the 'Airspy R2 High Performance SDR Receiver' and the Bullseye 10KHz LNB. Am I doing something wrong? I need help and assistance.
maybe i'm a bit confused but a frequency stability of +/- 10,000 Hz doesn't sound that impressive to me, I used to work in calibration and typically measured frequency stability in usually just a couple parts per million.

@@thyggus You don't need an ultra stable lnb for TV as you're using much greater bandwdth signals.

It would help if I knew what an LNB was...
It’s the part that goes on the end of a Satellite Dish Arm.
Low Noise Blocker
Low Noise Block
Low noise block down converter. Receives amplifies and down shifts the frequencies to use a common coax cable to the receiver.

I’ve just ordered a poty from passion radio so as soon as it arrives I will be attaching it to this LNB. I’ll create a video on it to show progress :)
I just got one -- is the BiasT is enough to power it, and I don't need to get an LNB injector (which are usually higher voltage?)
Normally at least 12v for vertical and 18v for horizontal. If if your bias T is enough, that’s great work!

Not sure what you mean, but I’m using the BullsEye and that gives 739.500 IF output with QO-100.
