Q: Do you have this card or plan to get one? If you have a mortgage instead, would you get this card if they allowed mortgage payments?
When this card adds mortgages... gave over. When I move rentals this will be the first card I add. Great breakdown Kevin!
Mortgages would be huge! Are you sacrificing any other cards to get this first?
@@KevinYang Not yet since I don't know where I'm moving yet lol. Technically it would keep me at 5/24 if I'm not mistaken, so I guess I'd be sacrificing Chase cards for a while. We'll see though!
@@SpencerJohnsonOfficial Gotta move to a place where you can build out a dedicated UA-cam set haha
I wish they do mortgage. Id be racking up points 😅 even do 1 pt per $2 or so would be huge
@@chrissanchez24 A whole new segment if they end up doing so!
Thanks. U forgot to mention primary rental insurance not secondary like most
Ok
I think the Bilt card is worth it for anyone who pays rent and likes to travel!
Yeah it's an awesome addition! The only caveat i'd say is the order that you get the cards (e.g. elevated 90k points on the CSP)
@@KevinYang think I getting the bonuses with other card issuers and skip the Bilt card. Going for that CSP hopefully 90k offer soon
@@callmeNeno Same here, the 90k CSP is hard to beat! Some people are seeing 90k + $250 credit on the Amex Gold too
@@KevinYang definitely would like these two Gold & CSP cards spaced out over 6 months in one year. Trying to apply only two cards per year max to stay under 5/24 until I get Chase cards CSP and one of the Ink cards.
@@callmeNeno Both amazing cards!
I pay $250 because I live in one of my parents property. I'm going to get me a Bilt cArd and win.
No foreign transaction fees are huge
Such a useful perk!
I'm thinking about using the Bilt multiplier to buy miles on the 1st to get 4x on travel. Do you think this will work?
Depends on which platform. From what I recall, most if not all points platforms won't count as travel!
Can one pay their own company rent? Asking for a friend...
Is it worth taking a Chase’s 5/24 slot for the Bilt card if you’re a renter?
Really depends on your situation.. That's one of the drawbacks of this card having no welcome bonus for sure! Is that the decision you're considering?
@@KevinYang yes sir
@Neno - I decided that it was worth that 5/24 slot. A year later I transferred 51,000 points to Hyatt to help lock in Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall for next year before the awards chart changed. No regrets!
@@danielturner8798 Nice, Hyatt is amazing!
@@danielturner8798 awesome
That 5 transactions per statement whyyyy
3x points on dining tho, so just use it 4 times a month whenever you go out for dinner or order takeout
$2000 is a lot of money for rent. Need to bring home $8000 a month to build wealth.
I never pays rent all my life so this is a junk card... unless it covers mortgage payments to 3 of my properties, it is doable.
Mortgages would be a huge addition for sure. However there are certain cases renting is better than purchasing, especially in VHCOL areas!
@@KevinYang Can be true. None of my properties are under $1.6m, don't know this is consider VHCOL?
@@theinternationalist1357 Given this card only limits you to 1 property for rentals anyways, it's probably targeted at people and their own property. In those scenarios, living in places like SF, NYC, sometimes renting is a better choice than purchasing!
