This is amazing. The live performance is as good in its own way as the studio/record version. My friend and I checked out a new wave compilation CD from the library, was back in 2002. This wonderful song was on it. I have a nephew who loved new wave music. He had a story very similar to the song, but it happened here in the USA. I sent the song to him and he loved it immediately. I'm very glad to have found Fischer-Z.
Just heard this song on the radio - I love it! They are a bit apologetic in live performance but the tune is great. Some film director will pick it up and turn it into a "find" and they will finally earn a dollar from this great tune.
seems just a TAD slower than the studio version. decent live version. doesn't come close to the intensity of the studio version. BUT if you were there it's probably much better
I love this song. I see Jenny Cruise is on keyboards. Who is the guy with the hat on, and who is the guy with the pony tail. Were they permanent members of Fischer Z ? And who is the drummer ?
On bass is Ian Porter, on guitar Graham Peacock and on drums Steve Kellner. Cruse, Kellner and Porter played on the albums Reveal (1987) and Fish's Head (1989) so they were the band members during that time.
+Peter Callaghan Hi Peter , she wasn't your mother she was me! Haha, I am still making music and singing - facebook.com/JennieCruseMusic jenniecruse@gmail.com x
A tad slow I thought.Needs more life in it. Especially when played live and outdoors too. Some songs need to be up tempo and this is one of them.Great song though.
I heard this song in 1987. I had been searching for it for decades and just found it. I can't believe it took me this long!
My growing up in the 80s brought me here did it bring you here?
For me the best song from Fischer-Z

Totalmente cierto lo que dices, ha sido una banda infravalorada, pero sus canciones son geniales.

WHOA
Great sound, great music but only on studio, at Live Performance they are real poor........
Amilcar Ferreira ok live version isn't that good but think about the voice technical difficulty of the song, that isn't so bad I think
yep. probably explains the "forgiving" tempo
In their earlier days they (with 3 from the original line up) played tighter: ua-cam.com/video/uZV6B9AxenQ/v-deo.html
Some Kind of Pete Townshend !!!
omg is it me or does this guy sound like adam sandler? this sounds like something he would sing on an old sat nite live show
Who is the girl on keyboards?
your mother
So, is that what she looks like!
