I will usually have my computer with me and I will inform them that I will be taking notes. Usually it flows like a conversation with them when I’m speaking to my patients, so it doesn’t feel awkward.
This video is amazing!! I just applied to PA school and waiting to hear back from the universities. I always think about if I'll struggle with communication with the patients. After watching your video I feel way more confident about this insecurity 1) because it's a course 2) you made it seem like you were talking to a friend. You kept it professional but also allowed the patient to feel comfortable allowing the environment to be relaxed. Keep up the good work and keep posting!!!
