Thank you, I was trying to figure out how to remove the oil cap cover! The whole oil change and reset process is very well explained and demonstrated, appreciated.
Helpful video. Thank you. I recently found that those STP filters like that plug to be installed on the filter first and then pushed from the inside of the plastic housing out if that makes sense. I installed the filter plug from the outside on an oil change recently, and it leaked like crazy.
It doesn't matter what brand filter You're not supposed to remove the plug from the filter. you just slide it right into the housing with the plug through the hole
Great video! Thanks so much. My new 2025 Hyundai Tucson comes in a couple of weeks. I was watching other oil change videos and they recommend to fill the oil filter with oil before installing to preserve oil pressure . . . but you didn't show that. What are your thoughts with this particular reusable cup set-up?
hello nice video. for car maintenance i have the same car hybrid hyundai. is this the main to change oil and filter how about the airfilter and inside and out side the car
I've never seen a drain on the filter housing like that before...probably because all of mine are mounted upright, not upside down. Interesting. Always nice working on stuff before it gets rusty/molested!
It’s an interesting concept isn’t it. I prefer the ones mounted up top. It is nice to be the first to service a car with 7k on the clock. Doesn’t happen to often
Would the new oil look black and dirty after 15 minutes drive home? I think my mechanic didn’t change my oil or filter at all. The oil is filthy black compared to new oil?
@@HR-rt9nh yes our car is diesel, they said they changed it and used the recommended synthetic oil . Does that mean there must have been small amounts of the old oil still in the engine and that was enough to mix with the new oil and blacken it very quickly .
@@mervace well as i stated... diesel will look black with a new oil change. thats just how diesel is. the only way to know 100% for sure is to have the oil tested, costs about $45 for diesel, you can do it at any laboratory . BlackStone labs is a good one.
How did get get the engine to run to check for leaks? My 2022 Tucson Hybrid will start in electric mode and the engine will not start until is am going down the street.
All that plastic shielding under that vehicle blows me away. One winter in northern Canada and it’ll be all cracked and busted up from dragging the ruts from the unplowed streets.
I have a 2023 Tucson Hybrid Ultimate in Ontario with 40,000km and the under shield is still holding up fine. My 2019 Kia Stinger has 170,000km and been through 5 winters with full plastic under shield intact with no issues aswell.

Thank you, so helpful for the oil life reset! Other videos did not show both steps. Thanks!
How many liters of oil?

How would you start the gas engine and leave it idle while checking under the hood? Thanks in advance.

Hit the gas pedal, the engine will come on
Filter should only be 15NM. Its stamped on the housing
i heard you can have oil pressure problems running aftermarket oil filters

Newer isn’t always better right. But that would go for most plastics Bumpers at that point as well right?
@@robinsonsauto Yes we live in the age of cheap plastic.
