In this video we review the Eureka Easy Clean Corded Hand-held Vacuum model 71B. The vacuum comes out of the box ready to use. The only attachment it comes with is a crevice tool to use with the small hose. The vacuum weighs 5 lbs. You definitely feel the weight of the vacuum when using it with one hand. The motor provides powerful suction for such a compact design with two motors. One motor for suction and the second for the brush. The only issue we had during the performance test was when using it on the carpeted floor. The head of the vacuum is flush with the floor, which prevents the vacuum being used properly when moving in a forward motion. And the powerful brush tends to throw what is being vacuumed up away from the user. To prevent this. Vacuum in a reverse direction. But the user still runs the risk of the brush throwing debris. The build of the vacuum seems very durable. Hitting the ground from a 4 foot drop showed no signs immediate damage.

You need to keep the manual in order to record your warranty information. Also, I could care less about vacuuming pennies, it's more about the dust, deep dirt out of matted down carpet on stairs. I also want to see how it cleans the risers. You're trying to use it like a regular vacuum while it's specifically made for cleaning stairs which you actually do more pulling back as well as forward.

Did you have the roller on when it was throwing stuff all over? If you turn the brush off and just let the suction do the job your results will be better. I have used this and had no problems like you did.

Dennis courey Dennis, does the roller bog-down on carpets because it's not driven by a belt?

I have the equivalent AEG AG71A. Brilliant little machine picks up pet hairs a treat and is easy to use. A bit on the noisy side compared to my full size machine (Miele S8000 Cat and Dog) but at just a shade over 50 quid this machine goes just about anywhere and is good at the job it is supposed to do. One of my better domestic appliance buys along with the Miele which between them do a splendid job of keeping a very large house clean.

Eric, you did a great job! That machine looks like it works great on pet hair and small particles; anything beyond that - forget it! And I had no problem watching you in the 18 minute videos either :) Your very handsome! :)

Is this the Dumb and Dumber show? A complete waste of time! And it would take way too much time to count the many ways they blew it. By the name, Princeton Product Review, I am assuming they are trying to make a business of it. Keep your day job, guys...
