The lifeblood of every community: Umthombo Wempilo, Khayelitsha

Umthombo Wempilo in Khayelitsha was part of the Community Systems Strengthening Programme funded by the Global Fund. "It’s the lifeblood of every community, especially as it plays a role of a catalyst in bringing the services to the people," says founder Buhlebenkosi Msipha. The capacity building, mentoring and funding the organisation received helped them to build financial sustainability and improve the quality of programming.
