I would expose myself to the sound of the Language, maybe videos, movies, songs in portuguese. Also there are so many people trying to learn English, you can partner with one of them, there are groups on Facebook, and you can teach each other. I LOVE learning languages, and in my opinion in the beginning a focus on the sound is fundamental! xoxoox

Wowww. She has plenty of English videos. However, she is Brazilian, and Portuguese is her native language. I find these videos to be incredibly relaxing. Even more so because I have no idea what she is saying, and I can focus on just the sounds, including her amazing voice, without being distracted by the content. Also, you sound very ignorant by saying that English is universal. Many countries also speak English, but certainly not all. Learn to appreciate something that you are less familiar with. And if you can't appreciate it, there are many other channels that you can watch, without needing to be demanding toward the creator.
