- A bonus track from Tame Impala titled "30 Mins With Mathew Saville" off of their Innerspeaker album.
Surprised this greatness wasn't on youtube already.
I do not own the song or the photos. Be sure to support Tame Impala with the currency of your choosing and check out Matthew Saville's awesome work (I'm not asking you, I'm telling you)
Yeh it was recorded when Kevin was recording Innerspeaker. I was staying with him and the guys taking photos and documenting the whole thing. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with all the photos from that time and from a few tours I've been on with them...Perhaps a book at some point
IM HERE 7 YEARS LATER PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN LOL
DM me please sir?
We're still waiting, Florence
I'd fucking buy that
Florence pls release the book!
Need friends who can jam like this
If you have a drum I accept
thats always my problem dude. it's always me and two other friends playing and wishing we had a drummer.
+Alex Minassian as I said, I'm a drummer...anyway, sad story, I feel you
PsychedelicMaster aw didnt pick up on that. i cant afford a set (cant even afford a snare tbh).
+Alex Minassian GGG lets make some songs in guitar center, or som improvisation
At some Led Zeppelin concerts, John Bonham would bang on the drums for up to half an hour on their song Moby Dick, and the crowd would go wild. If Tame Impala did a jam like this live, I bet the crowd would have a similar reaction. I am hoping sometime in the future they'll jam like this again.
At pretty much all Led Zeppelin concerts in fact, he would go as far as 40 minutes at some gigs.
More than half of his crowd come for his latest pop work so I don't think it would go well.
One of the most important uploads in youtube history.
Hi
I cannot put into words how much I love this jam. It's one of my favourite musical pieces that I've ever listened to. It makes me so sad thinking that Kevin only left us two instrumental tracks recorded (this one and Jeremy's Storm) but, man, what songs they are. That's what makes me happy at the same time, thinking that I'm alive to enjoy and feel the music.
Powerlines is another one but not exactly the rock of his old
Best piece of music ever
Wow. Psychedelic Blues. Never thought I'd hear a modern day track that sounds so lush and as if it's straight from the 60's. Genius
I though the same thing. it's refreshing
Marshall Chess (son of Chess records founder) produced two psychedelic blues albums in the 60's, one by Howlin' Wolf and the other by Muddy Waters if I remember correctly, with fuzz bass and wah wah effects and stuff like that. I think the artists disclaimed the albums afterwards, but I think they're pretty interesting ... could have led to something bigger if someone was inspired to follow up on it.
They’re so minimalistic with how they play - it’s ear heaven.
it's so stimulating

"30 Mins with Mathew Saville" (Secret bonus track†) - † This track is found by inserting the Innerspeaker CD into a computer CD drive, which takes you to a webpage featuring this track plus Live at the Corner and extra videos. It is an improvised jam session which features musician and photographer Matthew Saville on drums, with Kevin Parker playing guitar and Dominic Simper playing bass.
thank you
1:40 Daffodils
Or 'Rider's On the Storm'
Stephany Ochoa I dont hear it
ah yes, dorian i-IV
When you insert the Innerspeaker CD into your computer a thing will pop up that takes you to a webpage where you can download this and some live stuff. I found this out when I was ripping the tracks to put on my Ipod.
I've loved this jam for ages and it's great to see this on UA-cam! I wish they would release more stuff like this!
on acid, im a huge kevin parker fan, ive listened to everything else by him so this is literally the only thing i have not heard bc i didnt have a good 30 minutes to spare so here i go
and???
Franko Sk he’s still tripping
Mans left the planet😂
he never made it back from the sacred place i fear
@@uhmidkbro. after this trip i dedicated the past 3 years to learning & playing guitar, im happy to inform you ive started my own psy rock band now
No worries, it was a nice surprise when I put it in. Looking at the album again it actually mentions it in very small, barely readable writing at the bottom of the back cover that says:
"Insert disc in your computer to unlock an unreleased jam, live recordings, videos & more..."
Good incentive to buy the physical album rather than downloading it off iTunes!
Wow........now I'm pissed this wasn't on my version of "Innerspeaker".......
cool to hear kevin parker jam on guitar.. the live shows are always really tight and a lot of the guitar solos on his post-innerspeaker songs are pretty restrained
need a tame impala extended album where every song is 20 plus minutes.
@@spencer6104 and 20 songs on the album
I wish they would release this on Apple Music/Spotify
Initially misread the title as "30 Minutes with Jimmy Savile"
Yo! Im on the kit :)
hey matt! weird question but do u happen to remember how many mics were setup when u played? hehe
There was actually only one mic. Kevin Parker is every mic in Tame Impala, he records all the music
@@bipbong2906 the AKG D190? yeah I hear it there definitely! but I think I also hear a far kick mic and a little bit of overhead also but the main thing u hear is def coming from the AKG. u can hear it when matt plays the hihat cuz it's compressed so much. it's so crunchyyyy!
Freaking killing in it haha
Thanks for uploading this! Its great!
Fell in love with this jam. It's so fucking awesome!! Come to Czech Republic please. We want you here so much, Tame Impala!
There's a cool psychedelic band from Ireland called Waco but their stuff is impossible to find. If you search Waco Red Lemon Woman you'll get their music video. Then there's Pi from Texas. Insanely good band, if you search "psycho-deli Pi" you'll find them. Just two other bands in the movement. Enjoy and big love to all.
Thank you, it's amazing
Omg just when I thought it could not get any better, then I found this.
Wonderful , thank you so much for the upload.
Love the pictures... and the music, of course.
loving the visuals on this dude! very acidy.
tameimpala[dot]tumblr[dot]com[slash]bootlegs
Replace the dots and slashes, then scroll down until you see "Tame Impala Innerspeaker Bonus Downloads", it should be in that file. (Props to Fluffyducky2 for mentioning this website!)
I believe you can also acquire it if you bought a certain version of the Innerspeaker CD. As far as I know the vinyl copies don't come with it--or at least the version I have.
Thanks !!! :D This track is awesome :D
Thnx bro for this song! 27 minutes!
thanks, you're the best!
Dude!! A friend from the UK just sent me the link.. I don't even have a copy of this!! not sure how modular would feel about this, but it's nice to be able to hear it again so cheers! God speed :)
step 1: get yourself some good headphones
step 2: get some weed
step 3: press play
Funcionó!
Lsd
@Carlos Santos you're telling me Kevin Parker wasn't doing any kind of psycho active drugs during this? Lmao stop being a pussy
go eat some tacos carlos santos
thank god I read the comments first.
my God. This is genious
This Tame Impala sound will came back again ?
- No, it’s in my dreams only :(
Sadly
very strong performance
Thanks for the post. Goes from best to best in 30 minutes
@matthew christopher saville
No way! Glad you got to hear it again!
Sweet, there's lots of great musical projects coming out of Perth these days. I'll definitely check out yours too!
Ahh, thanks for this bit of info!
Fantástico!
this is jesus
You could buy it.... and ensure that they create more beautiful music....
All that Luis Pedro said, plus allah las, the growlers, thee oh sees, blackfeet braves, night beats, the sufis etc... not really like tame or pond, but definitely worth checking out. And if you like those, be super happy there's a tone of those bands!
It's just dripping mate
Wow! Incredible. Does somebody know any jams of this type in neo-psychedelia? I mean this type of jam, where it goes at least 10-xx minutes ... with this special feeling of psychspirit?
if you're still into psychedelia, i recommend quarters or im in your mind fuzz by king gizzard
the bright light social hour, and post animal.
thank you for this @tink193 :))
10 minutes and on was fucking magical!!
@matthew christopher saville
I'll have to recommend this to a few people. You guys got a good sound going on!
Oh wow
cool vid.. def continue uploading
I've been searching for music to go with my Maryjane.this is the best.tripping.
whostole mypants search psychedelic rock... :)
Search Pink Floyd :D
Especially Astronomy Domine and Remember a Day
May the higher power bless you for the upload! Where did you get a hold of this?? Cheers from tacoma, wa.
내가 왜 이제야 이걸 들었지 ? 인생 띵곡 만났다 개좋다 와
off the top of my head, some cool band with similar but maybe not so intense trippy sound: unkown mortal orchestra, temples, TOY, the black angels..
Really kool...reminds me of the early Pink floyd days before DSOTM.
Tame and pond are on a whole other level than the growlers or night beats
John Wilis dont even compare the bands bud
@@justinbordwell9282 for real haha. the growlers?
@@donovanjmartinez Rest In Peace to the Growlers btw
@@lewisvinson2985 what do you mean?
@@donovanjmartinez their cancellation last summer. Just google it.
Thats sick do you have any other recordings? Jam material from these guys is too good
Hey, I checked out your stuff and it's great; Apricot Rail is brilliant!
One more question, when was this jam recorded? Was it when Kevin was recording 'Innerspeaker'?
Very accurate visuals if you know what I mean ( :
perfect :)
temazo de cancionn!! como se os lo curraiss!!!!! :)
A book would be sweet; I'd buy it! Are any of the photos you took online?
Anyone else here because of the Innerspeaker 10th anniversary edition?
Yes
this is so fucking genius
Could this be part of the demos on the Innerspeaker 10th anniversary?
That's what I'm suspecting aswell, especially after reading the desc about it coming from the innerspeaker era of recordings
@@zappin4596 hopefully not
U called it
Great jam! What instrument are you playing on this track?
jay on drums!!! look that swipes, aMaZiNg
I don't think jay is there. Matthew is on drums
did you read the tittle
The sophomore nights I came here while smoking ahhh.

oh!
some comments here imply that this track can be found by inserting the innerspeaker CD into a computer. i happened to have picked up that CD some time in 2021. anyone know if this still works with newer copies of the album? secret tracks are incredibly fascinating to me; i would love to explore this one some more.
Love the guitar tone -- is Kevin playing a Rickenbacker here?
jeeez
Hear it when you're high.
Thank me later
Is it the 2 disc deluxe edition? Because I have both versions and it only comes with the original.
I just tried to access it again, and it's saying "this offer has expired". Don't despair though, go to this page and scroll down to "Innerbonus", then you can download it in mp3 form along with the other extras!
tameimpala[dot]tumblr[dot]com[slash]bootlegs
You know the drill, replace the dots and slashes. Check out the rest of the stuff on that page too (live recordings and unreleased demos etc).
it's called jamming
mind mischief
the alleyway from 3:10 to 6:55 is an accurate representation of my night on acid.
LOOK UP "Molly The Odd"
Anyone who likes retro 60s-esque psychedelic rock would most likely enjoy the sounds I'm going for with Aura Blaze. Come and check out my channel if you have time and love discovering new music. People seem to like my stuff, would love to get the word out to other open-minded psych rock fans. Hope you dig! Please spread the word around to anyone else you know who would enjoy Aura Blaze. Thanks!
Hey man, cool songs. Check out my stuff, similair sorta influences I imagine! Free download too

Can i get some suggestions about any bands that are following this music path? Or it's just kevin that is doing this kind of thing? Already know Pond and Melody
I would recommmend the album wondrous bughouse by youth lagoon and maybe King Gizzard an the Lizard wizard but I have to admit its pretty unique
PTM NO PENSE QUE FUERAN TAN BUENOS LOS TAME IMPALA
9:04 had me laughing on shrooms love this masterpiece.
this track is not on the album i have! I looked at the cover and the sleeve as closely as i could and it doesn't mention any bonus tracks either.. am i just blind or is this a huge consipiracy against me? i basically bought the album because i wanted to listen to this track on my cd player so i can put the volume as high as i want
where can I get this song?
What kind effects are on the guitar at 7:53, giving it that massive aching sound?
I think this up to you to find it out just by try and error. I think there is fuzz a phaser and a compressor in it , you also have this on the track lucidity at the end :)
Sounds like he was playing through Fuzz, phaser, delay & reverb and hitting a unison bend then using the whammy bar to get that crazy vibrato and ‘diving’ sound
DE LO MEJOOOR, SII K SI
Does anyone know what key they are playing?
9:17 14:27
9:27
what are the chords at 1:40
you know the band? Dude, would you think it's possible for me to ask them to get backstage at a gig for photos (I'm student photography) and hangin out? They're coming 16th October to Belgium and it would be ace for that to happen!
Really? I've always loved the drumming here, and I thought it was Jay playing drums. Who else is playing what? Kevin must be playing guitar, and you are on drums, who's playing bass?
i think it's Dom.
q instrumento toca dominic????????????????
psxwi bajo
psxwi a guitar but in there i think he's playing bass
who knows more bands like this? please let me now thanks
Well there's pond, crystal antlers, animal collective
1. gum (try the song 'growin up') and 2. mink mussel creek (try the song 'they dated steadily'), both bands are projects of the tame impala guys, as are pond who the guy above mentioned... there's also the dee dee dums, the early version of tame impala, and there's also space lime peacock...

Makeout Videotape and Mac Demarco is more indie-rock, not psychedelic
Your going to love me. Listen to (work this time, hot water, the river, god is in the rythm) all by king gizzard and the lizzard wizzard. Also morgan delt, temples, pond, grizzly bear, most importanly the beatles, melodys echo chamber, mac demarco!
Hoelemaha mvm Temples, released their debut album last year. Amazing stuff
Check out Tiga Lilly @metazoanex

Yoo who the fuck is on bass here??
