- in this video I made a beautiful staircase terrarium in a glass bowl
the main concept of this project is to bring nature home in smaller scales.
having such miniature landscapes not only add beauty to your living scapes, also the visual effects like natural light or flowing water, help reduces stress levels and improve moods.
materials I used-
1)glassbowl
2)stone chips
3) charcoal
4) soil & cocopeat
5)slate stones
6) moss

Love the look and thanks for tip on using shale! Only thing I'll suggest is to spray the soil a bit before adding the miss above so that moisture wicks up and encourages roots to attach downward quicker.
Thanks
Moss doesn’t root, it grows on stone and wood, no roots.
So after the 24 hours you take the wrap off and leave it uncovered? Which video of yours shows how to maintain the terrarium?
Now i no where i have been going wrong with doing the slope, cheers. I was doing the slope all on one level and it didnt look right.
That looks awesome!
Thank you
amazing talent
Thank you
Hermoso trabajo una pregunta lo deja cerrado o lo destapa despues de 24 horas
Wow❤❤❤
Thank you
I like the way you build , like so much hard work keep it up ❤😊
Thank you
Здравствуйте! Потрясающая работа! Подскажите, пожалуйста, каким клеем вы пользуетесь?
Super glue
I am going to give this one a go, looks fantastic. Would look great on my desk in office. Is this an open or closed terrarium?
Stairs ways to tranquility
Thank you
lot of supplies to have to start, like slate stone....easier to buy one made...nice work, though
I get where you are coming from but you can go out and get materials for free, look in woods, scrublands, beach. The fact that you are getting out in fresh air then coming home and making something unique. Good for mental health and great gifts. I’ve just started out and when I’m playing golf I am always on look out for moss, Bracknell. Then have an hour at beach with ice cream. All good.
How frequently we need to mist this kind of terrarium? In some cases people put lids for 24/7. Is it mandatory? Please share lighting details & duration of photo periods.
I mist it thrice a week. Lid is not necessary.
I use 6 watt terrarium light and I keep it on for about 7 hours a day
Hi, what type of glue are you using? Thank you, wonderfull job
Super glue
nice
Thank you
Can you use moss from the side of roads for example ?
Moss to buy here is expensive for the little bit you get.
You can use any moss from the side of roads, make sure you clean it properly before using it
Agree. I love in a rainy area and the moss I scavenger is better than kind sold in plant store AND free. I suggest treating it for pest then isolate/acclimatize it for at least 2-3 weeks before using it in terrarium, but no issues found so far.
Alguém sabe dizer o nome dessa pedra que ele usou pra fazer a escada?
Slate stone
Where did you bought the stones from?
Aquascaping stores
Why did you put the plastic over in for 24 hours
To trap the moisture
@Lang diy okay I think I understand. So you want to trap the moisture when you mist it. Since there isn't a lid, you will need to mist it again later, correct? Do you put the wrap on it every time you mist it?
Yes you're right. And there's no need to put wrap everytime you mist it. The wrap is only for the first 24 hours.
