At 67, I've spent well over 50 years in music - recording, performing, producing/engineering. As time takes it's toll on my hands and health, it's reassuring to know that the legacy is in the hands of young folks like this. Keep on keeping on...
I love how close everyone is physically playing and how you can even hear the stool squeak a little 👏
Might be the best comment out there. Music. Respect.
Organic goodness, to be sure.
2 hours ago, I found that my dad had a stroke. We are now waiting for the result of a surgical procedure. I went to UA-cam to unwind for a bit and the first thing I found was this. Wish you were here, indeed.
Hope everything turns out ok. sending hugs.
Wish him good health my friend! Stay Strong
How is he?
@@ethangoode. Thank you for asking, fellow stranger on the internet! He is doing quite well - no sequels on mobility or intellectual capabilities. It is, of course, weird to see one's dad age suddenly rather than gradually, but, to paraphrase my initial thoughts and Pink Floyd, I'm happy he's here.
@@rafaelribas1027Just saw this. Glad to hear he's alright.
I used to listen to this song with my son who passed away tragically in a car accident where his head was severed completely off. Every time I hear this song I can’t hold in the tears. He would always say, “I love this song and I love my head!”
I love this. Great instrument arrangements and Elise sounds so raw and natural. Wonderful!
Loved the fact that vocal vulnerability was left in the posted take. So many vocalists are pushed for programmatic perfection, but not here where the raw talent and feelings are allowed to naturally emerge.
Really is one of the all-time great songs, and this arrangement did it such justice.
I love hearing your voice clearly.
Absolutely swooning. This is an incredible cover.
I had no idea I needed this version an hour ago.
Now I can't imagine living without it.
Bit dramatic.
Elise Trouw + Stories Cover.....wow!!! Amazing
Awesome. Go Elise. 👏
Ah, my favorite Pink Floyd song! Thanks for performing this stripped down version.
FINALLY! someone brings new life and a different approach to this classic of classics...
I really like the organ/vocal phrase
YES! More stories with Elise, plz! :D
I listened to this on Spotify. Stunned to see this video -- just can't believe it's a live performance.
Awesome version of this song!
Wow...wow...wow...simply raw, exposed and outstanding.
Beautiful!

I love Elise. ❤
That mic is something else feels like Elise is right in front of me.
Short and sweet
wow
The pefection of natural imperfections combines with the magical match beteen voice and keyboard instrument - into a masters' piece!
Please do more Pinkfloyd covers please please please
Wish You Were Here? Elise Trouw? Yes please.
this a very grounded arrangement, very nice. I never heard a female sing this. It's interesting.
how is she so good?
i wish the same... 😍
I have a wedding ring for someone!!
Pressed like before 10 seconds in
Came back to edit and say Ryan cross legged sitting on the floor makes this
you should get Elise to sing one of Syds songs too, like Dominoes.
oh how I'd like to be a lost soul swimming in a fish bowl with Elise !

I feel like i rediscover Elise Trouw once a year... then she disappears for a bit... Wish I could do better at keeping track of her career!
I wanna like this so bad but there's just something about her performance that falls short for me. The arrangement is awesome but her voice just lacks the depth and feeling that it needs to be great.
I love Elise and Stories by definition. Even more if they perform together. However, I need to agree that in this particular tune there is something missing in Elise's voice. Despite of that I enjoy the song and it is so nice to see the footage
This is a song where it would be really great to see/hear their "main" singers and their individual versions. Like e.g. India vs. Rozzi vs. Olivia vs. Nataly etc. (But my dream is probably stories ft. Mariusz Duda from Riverside, he has very nice voice for this type of songs, unfortunately his versions of Wish You Were Here that are available on youtube have a terrible sound quality.)
Have to agree. Elise typically has a tasteful avant-garde approach to covers, which I respect. This time though, I just felt like it was devoid of the soul and impact that is essential for this song.
I love Elise, she did great stuff solo and with Pockets. But this is not her song, just doesn't work. Feels a bit like they just needed another song and she was around.
I have no idea what you mean. Do you want her to sound like David Gilmour? I think this is beautiful.
No - no - no thank you!
I think this is the wrong pink floyd song do do a stripped-down acoustic cover of. Too close to what the original was trying to do.
Her voice is too inexperienced for that song. Or maybe it is her soul that is not old enough for that song. To me it sounds like she is just singing the song but not actually feeling it or understanding it. It comes across as a cute, shallow rendition of such a beautiful song Wish You Were Here...
It was a nice try though.
I wish you weren't here. What an insult to Gilmore. You been mostly good and you're very talented
Well same to you. A cover is not an original. Learn what it means. If you want that go back to original and keep hitting same old loop over and over and over and over. And if you do not have something nice or constructive to say... keep it to yourself and go away.
