Thank you so much for featuring my pattern! Well done (no surprise, of course). And thanks to those who have already downloaded the pattern from Ravelry!
David Congratulations 🎉.
Love this pattern. David I am doing yours with Cartwheel yarn.
Can you turn it from a shawl to a blanket and square it off and if so how
Lovely pattern. Making some for myself and gifts. Winter here in Tasmania 😊. Do you have a pattern for the granny stitch combined with this one? I could just add a few granny stitch rows after several moss stitch rows? Thanks.
TY your voice and watching you are so relaxing
I need to let you know you are loved. I absolutely adore you! I know I am not the only one. (Can I get a witness?)
This is great. Seeing two ways to use this stitch in a triangle. Im struggling with finding a couple good triangles to make bandanas with, and this looks good. The triangles that have even slight crescent shapes make the bandanas look like flying nun headpieces. This should be perfect.
Thanks again, Spidermaster. You are amazing, and I love you! ❤
Yep...ditto....
Craig, I love both of these! Love your videos, you have taught me so much over the years! I’m making shawls for chemo patients at the local cancer hospital and these will be a nice addition. Thanks!
Yes that will be a very nice addition - what a lovely thing to do 🙂
I watched a lot of moss stitch shawls but yours by far is the BEST and easiest to do!! Great tutorial!!
I would love to see a moss stitch crescent shaped scarf or shawl. Thank you both of these are gorgeous! Love the idea of a stash buster with this!
I just want to say that you are amazing and I LOVE all your tutorials - I always look for your version when looking at patterns
Both patterns are great. Way to go David Browning and Fiber Spider🙏🏽❤🤗
Lovely ❤😊. I love how the pattern covers chest and neck, and is not bulky. Winter here in Tassie, perfect for me to make a few for gifts. Thanks, your tutorials are the best.
Love both versions. I will try your version. I already made one from the bottom. 🧶🧶🧶
Love both of these. shawls. I can envision making two squares from the triangle shape and sewing together to make, ultimately, a throw by making multiple squares. I think it would look attractive, especially if using a patterned yarn. Thank you both for the inspiration!!
I love your videos. So patient and thorough! I'm going back in time and watching your older videos. ❤❤❤
Thank you for 6he tutorial. I have already started a shawl.
Been looking for this pattern as a shawl. Definitely my next project x
Love both versions, bought some yarn today that will work perfectly. Thank you for all you teach and share!!
Hi Fiber! I have made a lot of the first shawl. I have made at least 8 scrap ones and more with one color. I love this pattern so so much.
Craig I just love all your tutorials, Thankyou so so much!
All your videos are so well explained, I never have question or worry. My pattern come along perfect-as you explain. Thank you!
I won a free pattern from David on Linda Simpson's live and I picked this pattern.
Love these on my ever growing to do list. I have ice cream yarn in my stash. Will do both!
Lovely tutorial. Thank you for so much🤗
Love how I can follow along and make such a cool project. ( and that’s saying a lot from me lol). Thank you 💗
I have grown leaps and bounds thanks to him :)
Both shawls are very pretty. I think I like your version best. Colorways are nice choices.
Great tutorial! Love top down shawls and the moss stitch! Thanks so much for sharing!
I am so going to make one of these. I made a lot of scarves using the moss stitch, so now I can see the chain space! Thank you for making this video !
Can’t wait to start
Can’t wait to try this one ☝️😊🙏
Thank you so much for the tutorials , I am going to try the top down version with some Mandala that I have :)
Beautiful
Thanks for two-in-one. Both are beautiful. Top down appears a bit easier.🌻

Thanks for this! I was looking for easy triangle shawls I could make to donate to my local nursing home and these are perfect!
I like them both
Thanks so much for these tutorials! Honored to be named in David’s pattern and to be mentioned by you! Woo hoo! Love the scrap busting idea and the fringe!
Gorgeous 💗❤️
Love it! I’m doing one with tool with it Melange.
Omg 😱 another great tutorial for a newbie like me! Thank you so much Craig for being so amazing! I have made the lapping waves shawl that you showed us how to do which my co worker bought from me for her mother! I will see how I can send you a pick of that to you! If it weren’t for you I don’t think I would have been and to do that project’ you are so so much appreciated my friend! 🙏😊😘🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I just love how you teach. I made my first shawl last week, it was your modern granny shawl
Both of these patterns are fabulous!
Another two great projects to do, awesome. Thank you.
A double bonus tutorial - thank you Craig. Have a pleasant weekend xx
Wow I love your ideas! Beautiful shawls, I want to do both! Thank you so much
Thank you Fiber Spider for this tutorial. I love making shawls. I am gonna make this. I am making a baby blanket with this stitch right now. Definitely love it😊🙌
Thank you so much Fiber Spider!!!!! I was going to request you do the moss stitch. I know it's very difficult but your videos make learning new stitches so easy!!!!!
Both shawls are very pretty! I will have to make them.
Thanks
Big Hug's with Lot's of Love
They're so pretty. Thanks so much for sharing. I love your channel. Have a nice weekend. Take care. 👍❣️
Yay! Top down version is beautiful! Thank you for this tutorial 💕
I will be doing both! Thank you for sharing your skills and teaching these to us.
These are great shawls. I love the moss stitch. I’m sure I’ll make both but I much prefer yours, it has more interest and just more appealing. However the scrap buster idea with the fringe sounds wonderful. I have to do that one. Thanks so much. ❤️
Hi Craig, awesome tutorial. The blackberry colourway is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing 👍😊
I love both versions of the Moss Stitch Shawls! Thank you for the great tutorial. Also thank you Craig for your design version and David for sharing his design version, too!
I would love to see a Moss Stitch Granny Square video tutorial, too! PLEASE! 🙏 T.IA.
Wow Dee. ..you got a shawl named after you!! Of course, it was the moss stitch! LOL Thanks for another great tutorial Craig!
اسلام علیکم بھائی زبردست 👌👌👌👏آپ کے رہنے والے ہیں
Enjoyed the two versions and creative tips.
For the top down one you can put a stitch marker in the second stitch at the point so you don’t lose your spot on the the increase at the top
You keep adding to my wanna make list. Thank you. ☺️😉
Another fabulous tutorial thankyou x
Thank you Craig. The only other pattern I have used with this stitch making small rectangles per Tiffany Hansen donating them to WA
Love both versions.
Really like how they look!!
Awesome! I'm so gonna make the top down! I'm obsessed with this stitch😍
This is interesting. Thanks Craig and David!!
Love this!!! Simple and sweet!!!
Those are beautiful and I have to get the moss stitch done.
Beautiful!! Can't wait to try this one!
Me encanto y es facil de hacer
This was an inspection I would do both
Was he inspired by Granny Dee from @Knit Purl and Squirrel, do you think?
❤❤❤
Thank you for both versions spider the yarns are both so pretty and it’s fascinating how different they look depending on top or bottom start 😊Amanda xx❤️
I saw this combined with the granny stitch too, so I presume the stitch count would be the same? The granny stitch started after several rows of the miss stitch. Do you have a tutorial with the combo?
can you do with out the v down the bottom ty
I have seen these that start from the point and go up in straight rectangular rows as opposed to the seam down the middle if that makes sense. Do you find that the finished triangle is longer at the point The wider you want to make it because it's a perfect triangle? Whereas the kind that you start in a magic circle at the top can go wider on the sides and not quite so long to the point?

Can you turn it from a shawl to a blanket and square it off and if so how
I'm thinking of using this to make gaiters... which version would you recommend? I love your tutorial from a while ago with how to make a shawl into a gaiter! I'm making them for Wings!
For a gaiter I think the bottom-up version might be better suited since you could continue the colorway without a weird interruption.
How many skeins?
Hi there fiber spider, may I ask, how much yarn you used for the shawls? Thank you. 🧶❤️
Just wondering if I could use a double crochet stitch instead of the single crochet stitch?
Try it and see. If it works, yay! If not, now you know.
Oops WUA. Now another way to use a simple stitch.
How much yarn did you use for your version of the shawl?
I'm still working on it, but I think I'll be able to finish it with one skein of ice cream.
