Hey friends! Who's excited for new planner/journal season?! Let me know below what you're using in 2022, whether that's a bullet journal, planner or even digital calendar I'm all ears!
Impressed how you didn't freak out over misspelling 'monthy' and you just laughed and continued on. And love the simplicity of your set up! Thanks for another great video.
This year I was able to relax and be way more chill with my bujo which I'm really proud of myself for doing but trust me, 2020 Kaitlin would have lost it ahaha! awww thank you, I'm glad you liked the video!
That stamp is beautiful I agree. I’m a budget journalist, I found all my awesome journals at the local dollar store, With blank pages dots and lines. And, best of all, paper doesn’t bleed through. But I do have really nice pens like you use. I have all the Japanese pens one could want and more, but I found out it’s a simple every day pen that I enjoy using the most for journaling. I have used Multi colored Bic crystals, blue black ink from Sarasa dry pens, And many more. This year is the year for gratitude in my journals. I journal to my Lord. Also,I really enjoy watching your channel. Thank you
WOW that sounds like an awesome dollar store near you! Those notebooks sound great! The blue black sarasa is such a nice colour, I love that one as well.
I like how you did the migration video so that way this set up makes sense. I really love how this set up turned out. I did a migration list before creating my new bullet journal set up for 2022 and I am so happy I did because there was so many things that weren’t working out for me in my 2021 Bullet journal.
Oh good, I'm so glad the migration video provided context! Thanks for the love Hannah, and yay! I'm glad you were able to tweak your bullet journal to work better for you, its an ongoing process that's for sure! Hope you have a cozy time setting up your new journal friend 💕
Hi Kaitlin, I’m new to bullet journaling and must have watch 30 videos. I got quite overwhelmed. When I came across this video, I realize that it doesn’t have to be complicated. Thank you for helping me get over the “start” hump!,
I'm so happy to hear that Amy! I know, sometimes seeing all the ways you can customize your journal can be a lot but I'm glad my video was helpful. I hope you have a stress free bullet journal setup!
Beautiful, so simple and effective! That cover page with the stamp is sooo gorgeous! I have gone off black myself too, I noticed a few weeks ago it was suddenly really overwhelming looking at a load of black writing. So I switched to a pink pen in my main scheduling planner just to keep things feeling more chill. It’s definitely helped 😍 your brown n orange theme is really relaxing, love it lots
Awesome set up video Kaitlin!!! Love the departure from black ink. I’m departing too from black ink but using a blue-grey color. Also, I’ve decided that I’m going to use a different color for long form journaling. I’m into fountain pens and have some amazing ink colors to use that I am going to use a different color per month. What I haven’t decided is where to long form journal. I want to try to keep it in my bullet journal but not sure if I want to journal in the dailies or start in the back of the notebook. I’ve ordered several notebooks so I’m not worried about making sure my content fits into one book but I am just concerned about cluttering up my dailies so much that I can’t find what I need when reviewing…hence why I decided to do a different color….any advice you have is welcomed. Again, I love your minimalist aesthetics and might borrow some. Can you post a screenshot of your refresh pages here? I’m not on Instagram anymore and I would love to see them.
Hey Karen, absolutely, I'll make sure to include the filled out refresh page photos in a community post (writing that down in my bujo to make sure I don't forget as we speak aha)! Oh nice, that ink sounds go beautiful. I just got a couple fountain pens and have been testing them out, once I get the hang of things I'll definitely be using some in my bullet journal! In terms of long form journalling, I always like to recommend keeping it in a different notebook. This is because of the reason you listed, which is I find that it clutters up the page and also, because I write a page a day, my notebooks would not last very long at all! Also, I personally don't feel comfortable carrying my personal thoughts around in public spaces because I would be seriously freaked out if my journal got lost and someone read all my thoughts but that's just me and of course your comfort level could be completely different. So yes, hopefully that gave you a couple things to think about and I hope whichever system you choose works out for you :)
Hi there, I know a bit too much about stamps cause my sister is a card maker, but the best way to clean a stamp is to just use a wet wash cloth that is old so it doesn’t matter if it stains. Right after you use the stamp, just lightly stamp it into the wash cloth, and the ink comes right off! Using an eraser might wear your stamps out faster. Your set up is really pretty, I love the colors that you chose, I think they are ones that will be pretty all year round☺️🥰
Hey Dawn, thanks for sharing your knowledge! I'm glad the wet cloth technique is actually legit and wow, I had no idea about the eraser, I heard that its good to use with a new stamp to remove any oils but I should really check that! Thanks for sharing all the helpful tips and I'm glad you enjoyed the setup ❤️
ahahaha what can I say, stamps get me really excited! And thank you, oh and yes lunch was fantastic, I had a grilled cheese which is always a good time!
I loved this! I used your steps from your last video in my first bit of my year end reflections and it really helped me solidify how I want to approach my 2022 planner! I'm excited to get working on the set up :)
for the Polaroids, I would suggest putting one at the top left and one at the bottom right. that way you have some white space, that you can use to make notes abt the pic if you want to as well!
ahhhh no thank you Aladdin, it's always such a pleasure to receive your lovely comments! Hope you have a fantastic rest of 2021 and an even better 2022!
I love everything 🥰😍 everything came out so well. Absolutely love the brown and all your stamps. I have a manga/anime collection page and favorite drinks for any drink recipes I find.
Oh my gosh! What a beautiful theme. I just started my own UA-cam channel and just did my 2022 set up too! I absolutely love the lettering style u went with! So pretty! Keep up the great work! I can’t believe I haven’t found your channel before I love it!
As always, loved your set up :) I have been super curious about the Stalogy notebooks for awhile (esp after watching you with your previous year set ups). What cover are you going to put on it??
Thank you so much! Right now I'm not planning to put a cover on it but I may eventually try putting the Midori goat skin cover or a Superior Labour cover on it, we'll see... while I love how covers look, it kinda stresses me out using them bc I don't want to stain the leather 🥲
Hi Kaitlin! I really love the way you set up your bullet journal this year! I much prefer simple layouts, myself. I haven't seen this version of Stalogy notebook before. I only know the square grid one. Do you mind telling me if this dot grid A5 is still a 4mm grid, or did they bump it up to 5mm? Thank you so much! Happy holidays!
Hey Atanasia! This dot grid is 0.5mm, so it is bigger than the 0.4mm grid in the OG stalogy! This notebook also comes with blue packaging, instead of the yellow that's on the grid, so that's the easiest way I've found to tell which one websites sell :)
Omg I was also thinking about getting a stalogy notebook! but in the end decided on a leuchtturm (as i do every year) Obviously, it's still early into the year, but how do you like it so far?
Hey! It’s a Stalogy dot grid 365 day editors series notebook. It’s around $35 Canadian and I got mine at a local Toronto store called paper plus cloth but you can also buy them on jet pens ☺️

Love the music, like a spiritual spa sound.
Oh awesome! I'm glad its relaxing :)

I love your usage of brown! It really is nice on the eyes.
Thank you! Haha gotta be proactive with reducing eye strain 😂✌🏻
I have also been using brown. I changed all my pens to brown.
Oh nice! It’s wild how many different shades of brown there are for pens, but I appreciate the variety!
I am so happy to see you back in the stalogy! Thank you for the inspiring video!
Thank you, me too! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Thanks so much for your spreads. They are really helpful in setting up my own planner.
Hey Donna, thank you! I hope you have a great time setting up your planner ❤️
Loved it!😍my jaw dropped when you casually mentioned me!💕
ahhh thank you and OF COURSE EVE, you were an essential part of the future log spread!

Great set up! What kind of pen is the black one you used in this video?
It’s the Zebra sarasa vintage gel pen in brown grey!

Oh nice! I REALLY like it so far, I’ve used stalogy notebooks before and am really enjoying the light dot grid!
#dontstarvekaitlin
Pretty clear stalogy, without time table aside and dates at the top
Thanks for video, cozy as always. And God bless thin paper.
lol don't worry I had a hearty grilled cheese after to nourish my soul! I KNOW, I love that they removed the dates at the top for the dot grid too!
Hi there 😀
What kind of bullet journal do you use? How much does it cost? Where did you get ur journal from?
Hey! It’s a Stalogy dot grid 365 day editors series notebook. It’s around $35 Canadian and I got mine at a local Toronto store called paper plus cloth but you can also buy them on jet pens ☺️
