My thoughts exactly! Women really rule this year's UMK. My faves are Sini and Sara, can't really decide which one is better. Guess it'll come down to the live show performance.
Yeah it really is Sara’s and Sini’s competition and the show producers have now massive part of which of them is going to ESC because It all comes now to the performances
It’s awesome that you’re coming all the way to Finland for UMK! I wasn’t able to score tickets myself :( I hope you enjoy your time in Tampere, it’s a beautiful city.
Thank you for the queens, queen. Initially this song did not really hit home at all. But I guess it was because I was expecting a completely different type of rap song in the spirit of Levikset repee, the only previous hit single from Sini Sabotage. She caused big waves around ten years ago in Finland and after that, it has been a little quiet. Well, she participated on reality television etc. But watching (again) reactions on UA-cam, suddenly the melodies and the lyrics started to live their own life. The melody got playing in my head and you get those tasty parts of Sini's rapping, in fact twice on the song. I thought back in the days of Levikset repee, that she might be one of the most talented rappers in Finland. She raps fast in her own style. And as she is actually a rapper, or previously was, I read the raps more closely than the other lyrics. "Kuori mua" is not in a heavy imperative (it is not like a command: "peel me!"). If it was to happen here and now, I do think, it would have been: Kuori mut. Now, the song title is saying: "keep on peeling me." Imperative, yes, but in a different form. On a first listen and reading I found a lot of sexual references. The video might have distracted me as well, to kind of see the sexual references, and as she sings straight-forwardly: "undress me right here and now, dip it deep..." Read and understood in a sexual way, well, you know what I mean. However reading the rap parts she is saying actually much more which changes the whole angle to the previous interpretation. This is how I read it: First verse: Every day is feeling like a birthday (in a sarcastic tone) as she is thanking for all the comments (slay). The layers are getting heavy as everybody has some sort of an opinion ("mp" in the lyrics is short for "mielipide", an opinion) about her. And everything or everybody is getting a little crazy, so "unbox me right here and now" - could mean that get to know me better before you are saying anything as she goes to the pre-chorus: "let's dip in deep, I am ready, come and open my layers - again, probably herself, who she is, before you judge her without knowing her. Second verse: Yes, yes, yes (si, si, si) Sini Onion, the one with layers, is always acting like everything is okay, the life is full of work and stress and you just have to stretch (flex) yourself to all of that. Again, party all night can be understood as sarcasm because the person, who she might be talking about is "seeking for a new mother (or a new mother figure)", so mysterious he could be quite unsure about himself. She goes on saying that we are the same flesh and blood and we hate trauma. If he just would use some time getting to know her (opening up her layers), they could have some fun time together (or at least they would not be fighting but respecting each other), but it is all just smalltalk (or how I read it, she does not really think respectful would ever happen, as she is not interested in him in any way) as she asks: "When you are going to the therapy, you got some big d* energy". That is a highly sarcastic line there. So I see there is quite a lot of sarcastic commentary on prejudice some people might have against some other people (in this case her). She is getting comments from people who do not know her, and right now, in this song, she is throwing it back. Kuori mua, may then, be about "why not getting to know me before you judge me" kind of a thing... By the way. I was waiting for your reaction. Now I am ready to go to bed. Good night.
Modern new pop from Finland ❤ Antti Tuisku’s latest decade era type that the world YET doesn’t know! He was the host and also the singer in the UMK 2021. I have the same order than you! It’s either of those two! 🔥
Peel me. Skip the small talk and dig deep. Onion has layers like people do. She is tired of dressing up in peoples opinions, unbox her true self and see her different layers, ready for tears. Going therapy is big dick energy. There is so much more besides the obvious in this song. I love it.
Huomenta Renata, What a cool song, I really enjoy this, and I cant wait too see this preformed live on stage. I really like that most of the songs in UMK are so up to date when it comes to the sound, not sure which one will win yet, but I know its gonna be an amazing final. See you there :)
Hi again and welcome to Finland! And thanks for your reaction 😃 I love Sini, this really slaps! 🎉 But now I'm so torn between this and Sara... the others are good too, but these are my favs. Now it all hinges on their live performance ⚖️
The ”language” Sini is singing is the modern youth language in Finland, my 19 year old son uses Finnish like that, mixing English words in, it is Finglish. Lol. A song itself, not my peace of cake but fun.
Finglish is a little confusing for me as I try to learn Finnish, and I want to keep myself from getting lazy by inserting english words when I don't know the Finnish one 😅
Majority or the reactors seem to be thinking she is just celebrating her sexuality. But that’s the surface. You need to peel her layers. You got to open that onion, before you can have fun. Dig deep, but be prepared you might tear up a bit, it’s an onion. Don’t mother her, she’s not your mother. And remember that therapy = big-d energy. Kuori mua = peel me, Kouri mua = grope me… The lyrics are Genious.
This is the first time ive come across your channel and i have to say how impressed i am at your delivery with your take on the songs. Theres no falseness, no over acting or annoying talking over all the songs without even listening to them properly. That aside, Sini Sabotage is my number 1. Kuori Mua is the banger i didnt know i needed! After hearing the songs before this one, Sexmane & Cyan Kicks were my choices, but even then i wasnt massively sold on them. Windows 95 Man is just too try hard for me. Its taking what Käärijä did last year and desperately trying to amp up the quirkiness and the cheese, but its too nausiating to keep up with for 3 minutes. Its time ti change it up this year and send a sassy, spicy, sexbop seemingly plucked from the mid 2000's! This really reminds me of Princess Superstar and her mid 2000 collaborations with Mason & Exceeder "Perfect", and all the other mid to late 2000 electrobops like "Let Me Think About It" by Fedde Le Grand. I hope and pray this wins!
@@espotpod well you've got a new sub! Will now go and look at all your other reactions too! And thank you for responding back. This song makes me want to make out with someone 😘. Once again I did not expect to love this song as much as I do. I loved the piano sounds to the song!! I want to hear this song in the club even tho I don't go clubbing. I LOVE THE RISKS THAT UMK IS TAKING, I THINK OTHER COUNTRIES SHOULD DO THE SAME!!
I have feeling that last contestant will be strong at this year. And this will be released soon (in 2h): Finnish - estonian duo "Mikael Gabriel x nublu", song Vox Populi.
Hi! I am Finnish and I have been watching most of your reaction videos. I personally am a bit disappointed about this years UMK, allthough there is still one left: Finnish+Estonian duo, so I hope they will make my day tomorrow.. Anyway I am a huge music lover and I listen to all kinds of music from all over the world and that is why I want to share a song I have been listening to a lot the past few days. It has nothing to do with Finland or Eurovision, since it is Korean, but I really wish this was Finnish song attending UMK, since it is just such a gem!! It is: "Balming Tiger - Buriburi / Pigeon and Plastic". I love both the song and the MV. I hope you will try it while waiting for the last UMK song! 😊😊🥰
i think sini sabotage is this game black horse. extra point lady rapp. only one left and everything is open who going to win, maybe sexman is only one i dropp out this game. thanx to great reaction and have wonderful day.
My absolute favourite is Paskana and I hope it represents Finland in Eurovisions (unless Mikael Gabriel's song is 10/10 - which it might be considering previous songs from Mikael and Nublu). Second is Windows95man but it is so stupid (in a ridiculous way) that I would prefer Sara 😂 third I think Cyan Kicks, then sexmane, jesse markin and last Sini sabotage. I was waiting for something of a banger from Sini but this song is just garbage for my taste.. But glad somebody likes it, going to be a tough competition who is going to Eurovisions! And live performances might change the odds totally depending on who can bring energy and entertainment to stage. Btw I didn't know you are coming to Finland! I would love to meet you but I think you already have a big line of visitors coming and full timetable 😁
It will be really interesting to see what happens live. I do think Paskana is probably the winner, and I'm glad for that! I will be very busy in Finland but if you see me come say hi! I'd love to meet everyone who wants to meet me 😊
I dont't really get what's with the hype with Paskana. Nice song and great singer, but that's about it for me. Wrong opinion, I know, but I am not just feeling it. On the other hand, Sini is on fire. 🤘😊
@@ellietola8478 it seems to be resonating a lot with people who experienced severe loss. My dad died in 2019 and the lyrics are exactly how I felt after he died.
Using English words like they are Finnish isn't a new thing, but nowadays it seems to have become more common. Homma on viety ihan nextille levelille: "ISMO | Englantia suomalaisella suulla". It's hard to know whether to peel Sini or train with Antti. Both make a strong case: SInii saa kuorii ku sipulii ja Antin kanssa ei saa ripulii: "Antti Tuisku - Treenaa".
Sorry but this is the worst song of this years UMK, we all know the pop music that they play at radios at the moment sucks and this sounds like all the other pointless "hits" in the radio stations at the moment.

Sini looks so good and sound great 😍
She sure does!
