Marcrist wet drill kit and diamond bits are much superior. As a bathroom fitter who works with porcelain tiles on just about every job i reckon i get about 20 bathrooms out of a 8mm drill bit. Probably 20 holes per bathroom finish for all the fixings. 400 plus holes from one bit is pretty good. These dry bits wear after about 10 holes in porcelain. Pay the extra for the water bottle kit and it will last many many times longer and save a lot more money, time and effort.

Hello Kris. Rubi also offers a system for wet perforation, which of course will cause any drill bit to have a longer useful life. More information on our wet perforation drill bits and systems here www.rubi.com/es/brocas-de-diamante-corte-humedo-f20

I'm drilling 20mm patio slabs outside. I can flow a constant water supply over the bit to cool it, will this help extend the life of the bit. On a test piece I got 4 holes cutting it dry and have 48 to do.

Hello Phil. Yes, good idea. Cooling the drill bit with water will definitely extend its useful life.

The small sizes wear very fast,5 or 6 holes than they are done. I am working for many years now with Rubi gres and they are oke.The prize is too high here in Holland.

It depends on how you apply the drill bits :) but either way we'll let our product managers know your feedback .

Floor tiles, 80*80 on the wall, will eat these bits. In holland it's a trend to use floor tiles on walls, there is no bit in the world that copes with these tiles. You can drill like 10 holes (6mm) and they are done. And I even cool them every 5-10 sec.

I cool them with water all the time I drill.

Does it need yo be 14000rpm? My 18v grinder is only 8000rpm max.

Hello William. The drill bits will still work fine at 8000rpm. However, the drygres drill bits usually work better at higher rpms. If you want to use a lower speed, check out our Easygres line of drill bits here www.rubi.com/us/easygres-diamond-drill-bits-r195
