proud owner of Teyes CC3.. Very happy with it's performance. Sound quality is very good, strong radio reception (even stronger than my previous Pioneer head unit)
Excellent! I too found the quality of this headunit is many times better then my old one 😎👊👍👍👍.
Any idea how much preamp output voltage this thing has?
You've tipped me over the fence and I've just bought one. Fitted a 360 setup to my Transporter 3 yrs ago and it was really good when I finally got the calibration sussed (menus were completely in Chinese). That was fed into the camera input of my Kenwood but this looks a lot better integrated and easier to set up. Shame there's no fitting kit for my Ducato, I've ordered the Jeep connection (also a Fiat) and I'll have to fabricoddle some sort of mounting bracket/fascia to prettify it. Good down to earth review as usual.
Edit: Just want to point out that the UK site is just a forwarding link to the Aussie site, so that's where it's going to come from, with the corresponding delivery time and import duty issues
Ahhh cool! you won't be disappointed Andy (yes it's fairly straightforward in calibration 👌👍) and thank you! 😉👌👍👍👍.
Mine arrived last week, but today was the first chance I've had to look at it. Unfortunately it's not a straight connection and I've had to order a Uconnect to ISO interface, so it's going to be another week before I have another go. All looks good qualty kit though
@@selwin9095 No, the website looks like a UK one, but it diverts to Australia when you place your order and that's where it was posted from. No biggie, just takes a bit longer
sideload android apps? would be icing on the cake to run a battery status app etc to check leisure batteries. (after the icing the cherry on top would be a tpms with 5 sensors...)
You can run the victron venus app which does all of that upon the unit, I show that @15:40 bud 😉👌👍👍👍
Thanks for taking the time to make this video
No worries 🙂👌👍👍👍.
I really like this. I looked into them a year ago but could never see if they would work on a van.
Definitely worth looking into again bud 😉👍👍👍.
A great peace of kit and another great video like always
Cheers Thomas 😎👊👌👍👍👍.
Lovely overview on the installation and the overall experience! Thanks heaps! Much hyped to get it delivered to sydney, it has been stuck at Perth for a while😂
Thank you, hopefully yours will turn up soon 😉👌👍👍👍.
Lol, here I am in Sweden thinking about the long delivery time, and you had problems inside the country of origin😊.
I gather you got it eventually. It's 2024 and the Teyes CC3 2K with 360 option seems to still be one of the absolute top units available. No van for me tho, this summer I hope it goes into my Subie Forester XT 2014.
Hmm, visiting Adelaide in April, maybe I should bring it home myself😊.
@@bennylloyd-willner9667Absolutely place an order or something then pick it up aha. It came and it was heaps nice putting into my Aurion
Thanks for the cideo! I got my CC3 360 for my camper after seeing this video a year ago. I stuck the side cameras at 2m hight, same as the rear cam. The front cam is inside the car at the rearview mirror. Does anyone have experience with the setup? I had to cut the calibration sheets in half because they were too narrow for the car. But although i could mark the squares, somehow the stitching is not nice. Also in bird view mode i cannot see much of the back and front since the car appears quite big in the screen. I feel like i have to cheat the settings by putting in smaller values?
Second question, since i am using the system for surveillance, how can i share the video files other than removing the sd card?
Thanks for your ideas!
What is the back suspension and captain measurements?
From memory, it's the drivers head height and vans body height from the ground.
you done very well with all the cables
Is it better to put on wing mirror or on middle side of van?
Entirely up to you. Remember, the software will be calibrated for wing mirror-mounted cameras when it comes to stitching the 360 together, but if you want to try and mount them in the middle, I can't see any issues in doing so, it's just the case when it comes to stitching the cameras together, whether it'll make any difference? One thing I would suggest is to try to mount all the cameras at the same height to avoid making the picture disjointed 👌👍...
Hey, thanks again for the video. I'm currently in the process of conversion for my van in the states and I'm waiting on the kit.
However I've gotten to a point where I need to put up the side paneling of the van interior, but I'm block because I dont have the wire for the rear camera of the CC3 360 system on hand.
Do you know if the wire is a standard 3.5mm or 2.5mm wire? Do you know if there are 3 strand or 2 strands of wire?
I'm trying to buy an extension wire locally and run it so that I can put up my side panelling, and just plug it into the extension wire when I get the kit.
Hi Noah. I'm pretty sure ( but dont quote me on this as it was some time ago) it's a 3.5mm / 3 strand RCA cable. Couldn't the cable be routed under the van following the chassis like I did in the video bud? Just saves butchering it like I had too because it was around 40 inches to short for my van.👌👍👍👍.
using the white power wire, is it already connected into the male connector? or did you have to solder it with the black camera lead wire? from there it is spliced into the power wire of the front blinker turn indicator?
The white tail wire on the main plug of the camera fly lead is only around 3 inches long, you do get more white wire within the kit (around 2 Mt's in lengh) that you'd have to connect upto the short white wire on the camera fly lead plug (I soldered mine together). I had to further extend the O/S wing mirror camera white wire (pink in this video I think it was) due to run of the cable and the way I had to route it through the bulk head. Yes, it's terminated by splacing onto the positive wire for the side repeater 😉👌👍👍👍.
Brilliant thanks for the fitting instructions and review. It is on my list 😊
Cheers matey definitely worth getting one 😉👊👌👍👍👍.
nice bit of kit that mark may look into it further now .. hope you well mate talk soon
Yes I'm good thanks Rob 😉👍, yes! Definitely worth looking into, it's a awesome bit of kit bud 😉👌👍👍👍.
I wanted to buy this, but then I heard about (1) all the tinkering people have had to do to get it working properly and (2) the lack of tech support (one person on the Teyes FB group even suggested running emails through a Chinese translator and then sending them to the support team). Those two things were problematic enough to tip me over into getting an Alpine, even though I'm absolutely in love with the look and UI of this thing. Such a shame.
To be fair, I think most of the issues come with people tinkering with it and not knowing how to rectify their mistake. Theres Dan, the Teyes Australian and European distributor whos very helpful. Other then that, almost a year on, its been faultless ( probably because I haven't gone in and tinkered with it😅) 😎👌👍👍👍.
@@Iveavan I heard about Dan and reached out to him. I already ordered the Alpine, but I may swing back to this if I can get a clear idea on how much it’ll cost (and if the unit really doesn’t require any tinkering). I’m in California, and I haven’t ordered things internationally before, so I don’t know how customs and all that works. Anyhow, I LOVE the way this looks and feels. I just need something that isn’t going to require any maintenance.
Hello, how are you able to replace the vehicle on the 360 software? I also want to have a graphic of the same van on mine. Thanks
You can do that from here. It looks like it's still compatible for the CC3 model 👌👍👉teyes.uk/blogs/news/cc3-360-car-model-update
@@Iveavan WOW! Awesome, thank you so much.
Do you know if the model in the visualizer app can be changed as well?
@wdj935 No, I don't, unfortunately. But they might be something/info on that website link I sent, if you do a search within it 👌👍...
@@Iveavan thanks
Hello, can you see the rear camera's view right away when putting your van in reverse? It takes about 5 to 10 seconds for me, I'm already backing up by the time it shows the view.
No, I can't say I've noticed any lag time with mine showing the reverse screen. It's quite instantaneous .
Thanks for video. I just installed this system and I an stumped as to where do I connect the three red wires coming from the camera adapter that you plug into the rear of the radio. Where did you connect yours?
Thank you Ray, on mine they don't connect to anything, I believe the red wire for the reverse camera connects to plug G pin 5 to enable for the "reverse tracking bar map" to move when you turn the steering but mine doesn't have canbus for that so that's not connected either 😉👍👍👍...
@@Iveavan thank for the information 🙏 I appreciate it
Can you share the teyes 360 app? I couldnt find it anywhere
Try this one, if no luck you'll have to go to customer support within the website 👌👍www.teyes.com.au/
Very impressive 👍
Are there any improvements for large cars after a year? I just installed this on a Ford Transit and am about to move on to calibration.
Depending on when you bought yours and whether it's the CC3 360 or the later CC3 2K Model? If you've just received it recently, it should be on the latest software update. If not, here's a link to the latest one (CC3 360 version). teyes.uk/search?q=360+software+update+&options%5Bprefix%5D=last
These 360 degree camera's make a difference to the driving experience. I believe you can buy extension cables so you don't need to cut and patch, but it's not a bad solution to the issue.
Cheers bud. Do you have a link to the cable extension please as these where not available at the time from Teyes 😉👌👍👍👍.
@@Iveavan They are a standard 4 pin camera cable as far as I recall (been a little while since I did a teyes install). If you search 4 pin camera extension or similar you can find them. I noticed teyes now have a full kit with an extension cable for the rear included, but they still don't seem to advertise just the extension cable on its own. Maybe you can ask them if you want the genuine teyes one, but they may be more expensive than generic ones :)
Unfortunately I can't post a link for you :/
@EsotericArctos no, that's cool, as long T-eyes is now doing them as I did suggest this to them at the time to them 😊👍.
When the 360 is fitted, can you record the image ?
Yes, I believe it can by using a USB drive / hub. I already have a 4ch MDVR fitted upon the van that shows 360, so I've not looked into / had the need to use the record function from the head unit myself, but I have seen it can be done via the head unit 👌👍.
Does this also record when your not in the van? For security purposes?
You can get a DVR front & rear camera for the unit, but I haven't looked into them as I've already have that set up. But in my set up the 360 cameras are really for parking aids 😉👌👍👍👍.
Yes actually, you can plug in a USB and all four cameras will record. You can also get a DVR Dash Camera or just a reverse camera instead of the 360 camera.
will this fit in mk4 golf it has space for double din? thanks
Yes, I can not see why not. Whether they do the kit for the Mk4 it'll be in this link if they do 👌👍👉teyes.uk/collections/cc3?shpxid=79cb109b-f677-494c-8f31-7b230f16e6e5
Thanks for the detailed video, I am looking to do something similar. Due to the size of the Iveco, exactly which vehicle did you choose when purchasing on the site?
Just the universal one, then added the cameras in extras. If you have the mk6 Iveco, they is a kit for that. They also started to sell the extension cable for the cameras ( links in the pinned comment ). 👌👍👍👍.
@Iveavan thank you very much for your prompt reply, I will have a look.
Hi there, a great video and I’m about to order this system.
Now just a quick question, what is the drivers seat you have fitted to your Camper?
Looks like it is sprung like a truck seat!
Cheers bud, that's right it's an Iveco Daily sprung seat base (some call it air ride but they sprung and adjustable to suit the drivers weight) 😉👌👍👍👍.
@@Iveavan
I’ve got a 2007 ex council minibus I’m converting, twin rear wheel. 7 metres length.
Hope it works on this vehicle.
@@jasontyler7625 yes, you should be fine, yours is the same length as mine so I can't see any issues 👌👍.
hi , are you able to see the roof section in live situations when driving under trees or low branches? also please, would you know if this system would suit an older vehicle 1995 , which doesn't have any type of monitors??? your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Regarding the roof no unfortunately not as the cameras do face slightly down. (unless you mount them upon the roof, you might be able to veiw what's going around up there but still wouldn't see the full roof). Yes, it be absolutely fine fitted within a vehicle built in the 90s, it be like how I've installed mine into the campervan 😉👍👍👍.
Thank you for your quick feedback.
In regards to the roof I might need to get 2 360° cameras seperate from the cc3 system( unless they can do a six camera system?) to install them ( one on the front and one on back) of rooftop ? Or would I need just the one 360° and placed onto the centre of roof roof top?
In the kit there's 4 cameras for each head unit. Depending what type of vehicle it is, whether it will stitch together or not with one camera on the front of the roof, one on the rear of the roof and two within your wing mirrors. But both of my front and rear cameras are fairly low down compared to my wing mirrors and seems to stitch the field of veiw quite well.
@@Iveavan , what i have is a little box truck, i was thinking of putting one on the roof (instead of the front angel,as i dont really need to see the front view on camera), then two on the sides and one at the back (for the back reverse end view)... i wonder if this will still work? all will be place high (unless maybe place them mid range around the truck ,exempt for the roof one which will sit directly on top of roof)?
I think the best option would be have a play around with them at different heights before actually installing them and see how the system stitches it together first would be the safest option. Ideally, they all do need to be mounted at roughly the same height if possible to prevent distortion within the picture 😉👍.
I noticed your seat is right bouncy, whats it like to drive in?
The Iveco sprung suspension seat bases are much more comfortable then the fixed positioned ones due to the harsh ride upon the front axle, I'm looking into doing something with the front suspension once the workshop is built 😉👌👍👍👍.
Awesome bit of kit, have you tried reversing using only the cameras, it’s really hard not to look in the mirrors 👍👍
No, lol I do use the mirrors too bud, but the birds eye view is useful to see if your inside the parking space 😉👊👌👍👍👍.
Ey up mark, cracking piece of kit buddy, just on the off chance, do you still know anyone hull way who can fit me some solar/leisure batterys and split charger,,just an ask matey if not no probs,
Cheers matey 😉👍, not in the Hull area bud unfortunately, I haven't been back much since I moved away from that area so I'm a bit out of touch who you would use around there 🤔 only other person I know who could do it for you is @unimpressedjeff 😉👍👍👍.
@@Iveavan cheers mark,,
hi i guess you bought standard unit mine come with harness for the rear camera and place for the ex mic
Yes, it was the none vehicle specific head unit that came with all the harnesses, but upon my van it was around 4mts too short for the rear camera (so whether or not they are now supplying the extra long rear camera cable I'm not sure🤔).
My kit was missing the female jack plug for the external mic and found out that it should of been within the kit I received, but I've still not come across it 🤔🤷♂️🙂👌👍👍👍.
Mark.. the web address to buy the camera isn’t a link..
Which one bud UK or the Australian one? 🤔...
The UK one is I've just pinned it within the comments bud 😉👌👍.
hi just an idea why not mount the camera higher up like beside your roof lights if the calibration will let you program the height in its only an idea but this might not be for every one im sure a housing can be made to hold it .
its only if its higher it might see more clearly . hope this helps and let Dan no at teyes they might be able to alter the height in the program let me no good luck.....
Ideally, the front and rear cameras want to be mounted (as closely) level with the wing mirror cameras, then it will stitch perfectly together 😉👌👍👍👍.
Hi, thanks to your video I've just purchased this.
Thank you for sharing it with us!
Do you think there would be any advantage in mounting the cameras higher (above the rear doors and perhaps on a roof rack for the sides)?
No worries bud, if I was to fit the cameras again I'd probably try to mount them all at the same height from the floor so you didn't get the side profile from the kerb stones on the front and rear cameras and the top profile from the wing mirror cameras, when stitching up it looks a little disjointed due to this, I can't see any harm in mounting them any higher, but it may effect the tracking lines on the rear camera 🤔😉👌👍👍👍.
@@Iveavan so you'd consider lowering the side cameras and mounting them somewhere other than the mirrors?
I can't say I'd noticed the kerb stones morphing until I went back and looked again.
Good point on the rear guide lines, can you turn them off?
I was just thinking that a higher viewpoint may be more helpful but given these are designed for cars I'd probably be giving myself a hard time.
It's worth ago, I've not tried it at different heights so you may have more success being higher, I just think it be better (if you can in trying to keep the cameras all at the same level) & yes you can turn off the tracking if it does become an issue bud 😉👌👍👍👍.
Awesome bud 👍🏻
Cheers matey 😉👌👍👍👍.
A nice bit of kit
It is cheers Thomas 😉👌👍👍👍.
Hi, great video. Does the CC3 support wireless android auto? Some peeps online say that it is but none of the official documents seem to back it up 🤔
Thank you 🙂👌👍. In all honesty I can't answer this as I've not fitted one, nor tried to see if its already installed within the unit. I only use a few Apps for my needs (Waze, what 3 words and online radio) so realistically I haven't had the need to fit one matey. Have you asked Dan (the UK & Australian distributor)? The contact email is within the description or, from memory within the pinned comment. 🙂👌👍👍👍.

Got a question.. What 4G bands are unlocked in your headunit for mobile internet?
Curious to know as I would love to be able to carrier unlock my headunit so I can use any Sim card from any carrier.. the bands should be found in the "engineering settings"
Thanks
I use the WiFi from my wifi dongle within the campervan, so in all honesty I can't really answer this question as I've not placed a sim card within the HU. 😉👌👍.
Love the video, what you did with the van and system is genius. One question I have is how long did you have to wait for delivery? Ordered mine 27th March and still waiting for it to hit the UK
Cheers Paul, I think I had to wait around 3 to 4 weeks before it turned up bud 👌👍.
I waited about 3 weeks for them to send it from China to my home in the USA. Probably around the same amount of time.
fascinating video I am thinking one fittedto a 7m long motorhome. My main issue is that I want to display both gps mapping information and 360 view. Is this possible? I note in your video you also show a screen with 4 camera views: is this an entirely separate system?
Cheers matey 👌👍. Yes you can, the 360 camera view can be viewed in the corner of the screen whilst using Waze on the main screen, that's how use mine. The other screen is for my security ip cameras that records a weeks worth on a MDVR. However, that isn't part of the system 😉👌👍👍👍.

I just purchased one of these through the teyes website so I don't get cheated by those Chinese fake units, I almost bought a perfect replica but then whit research I found teyes website and I dint hesitate, one question I have an older android unit whit reverse cam and I have interference when breaking and the power is from the reserve light (manual Ford ranger), on the teyes 360 system if I don't want to use the trigger wire I don't need to because the system is always on because its powered by the teyes unit right away? The trigger wire for the reverse light is to turn the back camera on the main screen when you put in reverse right? Thanks yoy have a great project there whit that van, greetings from Portugal 🇵🇹
Hey Jorge👌👍. Yes! I heard about the fake ones, much better buying them from Dan 😉👌👍. No you need the trigger wire it's only for turning the rear view on when reversing. You can mess around within the camera settings a choose which camera you'd like for it to be on or leave it on 360 mode its entirely up to you bud 😉👌👍👍👍.
@@Iveavan yes but if I don't connect the trigger wire the rear camera still works right? But it will not turn on when I shift in reverse but I think you can play in the settings to turn on when you drive at a certain speed, but I will put the trigger wire anyway, this question is just to know if my thinking is OK, I payed the unit on the 2 of February do you know how muck time to get to me? I don't have a tracking number yet thanks mate for you help
From memory. Even with out wiring up the trigger wires the camera's still worked. Errm, about 4 weeks for it to arrive from the order date as I recall matey 👌👍.
Sorry mate, where should the side mirror cameras be facing?
Directly Facing out to the side (but may need to be pointing more to the rear of the vehicle. If its a long vehicle!) bud, the stitching will bring it together once you've calibrated the cameras 😉👍👍👍.
Thanks for the help, yes I did the calibration but need to do another go
I like it I want it, so yes yellow wire, brown wire, red wire some kinda plug yes drill holes should work if jack around not missing 😆😭😭😭⚠️

Any chance we could get a "5 months on" videos, with any issues or glitches you've faced?
Great job though! 👍🏻
Cheers bud, I'm tied up at the moment with the current video taking taken 3 months to film 😬. Regarding the head unit, I can honestly say it's been working perfectly and no clichés to report of yet, but I may revisit it again 😉👌👍👍👍.
@@Iveavan Oh Lord... 🤦🏻♂️ but that's enough for me! And how about the cameras? Have they turned into a bit of a novelty, or are you finding them useful still?
Stay safe ☀️🥵
I prefer this set up compared to my previous set up as I do find it useful (birds eye view) in carparks, but in honesty it's the only time I use it or if I'm reversing close to an wall it comes in handy (but any type of reversing camera manages that). It is a very good powerful head unit, I'm thinking of getting another one for the habitation area in the future 😉👌👍👍👍.
Ohhh no!... More things I want🙄
Haha sorry 😅😉👊👌👍👍👍.
How does it work in the dark
