Thanks for the video. I appreciate the pros and cons. So you know, deer often do not pay attention to the rifle reports, with or without a muzzle brake. I rarely, if ever, see deer run from a report. Rather, it's when they smell or see the hunter. More startling, I have called an "All stop" at a range when deer wandered out in front of targets.
The military didn't make the flash hider to hide our positions. It keeps the flash from blinding the user. There is probably some flash suppression from the opposite side, but it was for the user. Great video though. Thank you
The flash hider is actually designed to hide the flash from the shooter, not the target. So that the shooter doesn’t mess up his eyes and can keep them on the target. The only thing that really hides the flash from the target is a suppressor, or a long enough barrel for all the powder burn completely.
Yep! I have muzzle breaks on most of my guns except ,223, 243/244, and 7-08. Rest of my rifles to include larger 7mm Mag,, 30 and up (338, 358, 375, 414) all have breaks. Good videos and glad I accidentally discovered your channel during my search for Christen Arms, Mesa model rifles
I have deadair brakes on all of my 556-762 rifles. I considered flashiders instead, but at the end of the day, I prefer to use the brake as sacrificial baffles to protect the silencer. At some point I'm going to get a hybrid 46 for my 450 bushmaster and henry 4570.
@@vameathunter2771 no, far from it. I'm really just starting my journey into muzzle devices. I haven't even tried rocksett yet, or even shot enough without it to know if its necessary. I also still need to figure out the optimum length of the threaded section of the barrel. All I really know is that I don't care about weight. A lot of people do though.
Thanks for your video got myself a lil 30-06 and planning to break it very soon. Picked it up and the first time out I put 47 rounds down range because I wanted to shoot the gun and fet used to what it does, how it shoots. Shoulder really didn't bother me to n awful bad not even the next day. My thing is if I can reduce felt recoil by 30% or more and the manufacturer says more like 40+ then my groups will get tighter I feel. I'm looking forward to getting mine and see if my theory is correct then head to the woods with it, thanks again
Congrats bro! I first rifle was in 3006 and I still remember the bruises on my right shoulder but it was awesome. Back then my Remington had a hard plastic buttstock. happy new year n God bless.
Great video! I plan on swapping my current standard A2 top ported birdcage for a break soon as I find a good one, you said you paid $17 for that break or $70? Lol
I had laser eye surgery a few years ago, it was expensive. If you look into it get PRK and not Lasik, it was invented by the Russians for snipers/soldiers...
