i have done something similar before
did this on heartgold cause i clicked new game on a cart that already had a save file... played through the entire game cause i always just left my ds on sleep mode and then after i beat the game and it tried to save i realized my terrible mistake lmao

The only way the “low level npc” bit could’ve been more accurate was if that geodude also had sturdy to prolong the frustration
It was even worse when you wanted to absolutely obliterate them so you use hyper beam or another 2nd turn rest move and you watch them use defense curl or protect

Pretty early on I started switching from mashing A to mashing B as soon as the healing music started playing. B still progresses the dialog window but won't restart the conversation.

A lot of us also had the overleveled starter to carry us through most of the game!
- Running out of Repels while in the middle of a cave
- Catching that one cool-looking Pokemon that turns out to be quite underwhelming in battle
- Having 4 offensive moves on every Pokemon
- Spamming the signature move of the legendaries you caught
- Hatching a random egg given by a NPC just to box the Pokemon and never use it
- Speak every day to the man in Mossdeep City to have enough rocket launches and maybe go to the moon to meet Deoxys or Jirachi

That third one was Tinkaton for me. She did good in the playthrough but looking at that 75 Attack stat will never not bother me. Guess it's good we don't have another Fairy/Steel demon running around. Another one was Orbeetle. Dude was never useful when I needed him but I loved him so much especially as a Dottler I couldn't take him off.

I think you mean 4 offensive stab moves on every Pokémon
1. I always "killed" everything in my path
2. Wouldn't happen if I could use all 12+ boxes as my team

3:30 I think it's pretty genius what they did with the Gen 7 fire starter, they picked a design that looked like it would be fire-fighting and so when the sketches leaked, everyone assumed it would be fire-fighting and got annoyed... And then they revealed it to be a fire-dark who was a heel wrestler! So people were *meant* to be angry at it!
They managed to use fan-reactions to epitomise heel-heat.
I guess that's also why they made it stand up (just to be clear, I actually really like Incineroar).
I swear when they revealed the second typing originally they drew it out juuuuuuuust a touch longer than the other two

Saying that your enemy won't get a critical hit and them the crit happens.
See, 1/16 sounds like low probability but when your team members take dozens or hundreds of hits during a playthrough, it makes sense why. That 1/16 is being calculated for every single move used.
Going for an attack knowing you will live one more "as long as it's not a crit".... right?

All true! I'll throw in some more for funsies:
- Saving the game twice because you aren't sure if you saved it the first time or not
- Accidentally passing the Poketch app you wanted in DP/BDSP and having to cycle through the ENTIRE app list again
- Learning to identify a Pokemon's cry in written form i.e. DELELE DELELE WOOO or WII U WII U
- Knowing Alt+130 and Alt+144 by heart to type "Pokémon" and "POKÉMON" correctly :3
Also accidentally erasing your first move slot for a new move in older gens because you habitually tap A
After catching a Shiny I save the game three times at the bare minimum. I think my record is over a dozen times after catching a Shiny Gligar in XD. I just kept saving the game until my heart rate returned to normal LOL.
The multi saving thing is what I call rpg syndrome. Theirs so much their and so much to be lost that you want to know it'll be their when you come back

I remember when I was a kid I played through the vast majority of SoulSilver over a few days, only stopping to sleep and eat etc so would just close the DS lid instead of turning it off. Of course, I never saved so one day when I had made it to Blackthorn or thereabouts, my DS shut off randomly and when I opened the game back up I was at the opening credits and I didn't touch the game again for like 5 years because I was so upset xD

When I loaded the game back up, I looked at the last time I saved, and it was the day before. I played 3 hours, and then I lost all my progress. I cried inside, NGL.

Litten was originally my favorite of the Alola Starters, but I hate Incineroar, so I picked Popplio instead, since I thought it looked cute, too, and I love Primarina. Thankfully this is the only time I've been disappointed by a Starter evolution, since every other Gen, my initial favorite Starters have had good evolutions, imo.
