      Thanks. Wow you’re the first who put gouache first. I love painting in gouache. I want to try to give everyone a bit of what they want but I do love painting in gouache.

    Really love that L-shaped desk, Sharon. It gets you much further into the corner than your other table did - and the the video suggests that the magical thing is that by getting further into the corner, you're suddenly taken right through that corner and into that gorgeous view of the wild blue yonder outside. The new storage units look ideal for art supplies too. We all know how happy you've been with your studio but I'm sure it's going to be even more inspiring to work with the new additions. Oh, and I can't resist saying that the cutest addition of all is Mr "I shall sit on you until you stop constructing furniture and pay some attention to me" Tully himself 🙂 You asked about future content and, personally, I'm more than happy with the balance you strike between watercolour, gouache, art hauls etc. I'd maybe like to see just a bit more urban sketching but I know that in Michigan there are only so many months when the weather makes it possible to venture outside. So I guess overall it would probably be 'More of the same' that would get my vote. Thanks for sharing the refurbishment with us all - all the best, Brian.

    Oh my! It’s absolutely beautiful and just perfect for your studio!! You are going to love the extra space on top of the desk!!
    I’ve always loved the studio and so happy for you!! I know you worked many weekends on the house and even though the studio came later (your husband really is a doll) and worked hard too. You deserve every bit of happiness and joy because you have generously given it to so many of us!!
    I laughed so hard starting in the first few seconds when you were talking about Tully wanting out but just barking if you let him out and he’d go to the house!😂Mytwo want me outside with them or they bark until I let them back inside.
    I, too, keep everything off the floors, etc. omg!! He loved you on the floor!! especially when they have full access because our hands are busy…lol
    Good!!! You just rest and enjoy for a couple of days!!
    I have had 3 back surgeries and diagnosed with fibromyalgia in my 20’s along with Hashimotis, etc.
    We will overdo it but it’s very important to rest afterwards. You know all this. I’m just pushing you to rest longer than a day!! (I’m 63 so older and have done it both ways 😂)
    That stuff will wait and you only see that gorgeous view out of the two windows.
    Funny. I was thinking “show us again in spring/summer “ and you said you needed to. Please do!! I love the view!!! You can feel better just sitting there looking out for an hour Id bet…
    Oh, Sharon, thank you for sharing everything! You made my heart happy listening to your joy and happiness….well deserved my dear.
    Blessings,
    Nancy Rolfe

      Great suggestions. I will do that. Although, I think the plein air will wait until springtime! It is very cold outside and we just got another 10” of snow! But I can do hummingbirds among flowers for now😊

    Sharon I'm just catching up on this video from a couple of days ago, but I just wanted to tell you I'm so impressed by your lovely studio and the wonderful view you have! I would love to see it in the Spring/Summer too! I love how you have everything so organized. It's so hard to put things together like that, and all the heavy lifting is just a LOT. I have autoimmune hashimotos and fibromyalgia, and I know it's super hard. Just the simplest of things to me is a really BIG deal. God bless you and thanks so much for sharing. ❤️

    • @SharonCullenArt
      @SharonCullenArt  Рік тому

      Thank you. Hashimoto's, and fibromyalgia are hard to deal with. I will say a prayer for you. When I hear of other people suffering I like to say a prayer for them so I will pray for you. And yeah it is hard. But I do feel so blessed to have a studio like this and all the supplies that I do have. I'd love to share some of these with my subscribers. But, the shipping is so expensive than I'm paying for these things twice so I need to find people who are local to share these things with. My sister just took up painting recently although it is acrylic painting. She is interested in watercolor, and I do have plenty of watercolor pallets to share. And for that matter I have a lot of paper to share as well. And all of those books! Many of them are Beginner Books that I no longer look at. Oh well I will find people though I'm going on a search

      @SharonCullenArt  Рік тому

      Yeah the u-go box…. I had a terrific video on it while I was on vacation but now I’m finding it difficult to access with all the crap I went through to get my storage issue fixed. I will work on some sketching from life indoors this winter, and more watercolor for you guys! And I will get you a new u-go video. ❤ thanks for the suggestions.

    Love, love, love your studio ❤. I also have a corner desk right up to my window, it’s one of those desks that goes up and down so I can paint standing when doing a larger painting. I also have a long up and down desk butted up next to my corner desk so I can just roll down the length of it in my chair & I just love my set up. I have the same drawers you have - these drawers can be ‘hacked’ to open out all the way in order to get full use of the drawers, there are a number of youtube videos showing you how - I just need to get my husband to watch them so he can do this for me… I’d love to see more watercolour videos please. I gifted myself a 40 pan set of Schmincke super granulating watercolours and if you have any I’d love to see you do a painting with them - there are heaps of swatching videos which I don’t get at all as you don’t get any idea of how they’d look in a painting.
    I’d love to know what you do with art supplies that you don’t want anymore - unless I donate them to my watercolour society (provided they’ll have room for them), I find them hard to sell here in Brisbane, Australia as watercolours are not that popular here & people just starting out in watercolours don’t know the difference between good quality supplies and will buy grossly inferior stuff from the $2 shops thinking they’ll be acceptable just like the cheap acrylic paints and so in comparison my professional supplies seem very expensive when trying to sell them.

    • @SharonCullenArt
      @SharonCullenArt  Рік тому

      Oh I never thought of that with the drawers. I did notice they don’t open all the way but my deal is I wish they were longer. But now I should have plenty of space. I will add your request to my list. As far as Schminke watercolor goes, I have a basic set and then 3 or 4 others that I bought last summer. I usually use Daniel smith. But I will do more watercolor videos. Someone else asked for a granulating color video so I will be doing that as well.

    I love your new art desk and drawers! It’s amazing how much space you gained and your other desk was a lot smaller than it appeared. No doubt, you will have a wonderful time painting on your new space🎉. I would like to see how you use you use the Caran d’ Ache neocolor ll’ s. I love these pastels and information about them is limited. You are looking so beautiful, you just glow from the inside out. Take care and may your back feel better fast. Fran

    Thanks for your videos, they're a pleasure to see. I like the watercolor the best, but gouache is something I'm interested in pursuing. I was also hoping you'd get to some pastel paintings when you have time. Thanks for the tour and I have a similar alcove with windows like yours ... with a great view too, but I have a very large 25 year old ficus tree in that spot! Love seeing your pup too!

    Hi Sharon! The new furniture is just great! Beautiful and functional!
    Have you worked with granulating watercolors? I have some on the way and, completely selfishly, I’d love to see you do some demos/tutorials with granulating colors! Thanks!

      @SharonCullenArt  Рік тому

      Yes I live granulating colors. I have used them for years. This is one of the biggest reasons I love Daniel smith watercolors. They were the first I know of to make them and I use them all the time. I will make a video on them.
