HOW TO PLAY: Place treats or kibble in compartments of base and sliding blocks. Cover middle compartments with the bones. The more covered compartments, the harder the puzzle will be! Let the games begin! Show your dog how the game works and encourage them to find the treats. Dogs are smarter than you think. Sometimes we just need to teach them! Leave some of the bones out and flip open the blocks to gain your dog´s interest.
FROZEN PUZZLE: Mix some canned/wet dog food or raw food with water, pour some of the mixture in the hollows, or place a small piece of sausage or a tasty treat in each of the hollows, pour a little water, put the game in the freezer and let it set. Perfect for energetic dogs, hot weather, or just extended fun.

Kept my GSD gal occupied for almost 10 minutes! She had so much fun, she kept looking for more treats after she ate them all. xD You do have to supervise your pet. She did try to run off with the white pieces after she conquered her first round. I will try freezing some treats next time for an extra challenge.

Chihuahua is a clever breed, I would recommend the Challenger Slider, DogWorker or the DogCasino.

My dog is trying to chew the tops for the food and not using paw or nose
Hi, Since the puzzles contain food or treats, we recommend to supervise the dog closely, so he does not try to cheat by bite or chew his way to the treats, in the beginning I recommend to play together and help the dog and show how the puzzle works.
Puzzles for dogs are like cross-word and Sudoku for us, we need to understand the rules of the game, how to solve it, or get help, especially if we try a more difficult version, if we don't understand, we get frustrated and give up, dogs instead start to chew and come up with their own solutions to find the treats, which is natural then for a dog, so we need to show and teach the dog how to play so the dog understands the concept and how to play to find the treats.
How do you explain if the dog turns the toy upside down. I have a clever daschund ;0)
As always with treat puzzles you need to supervise and teach the dog how to play, (the playing rules) otherwise the dog find their own way to solve the puzzle by cheating :)
My beagles did that too, within two minutes! Flip it over, get all the treats! LOL!
