I’m a sucker for behind the scenes as a basic editor for my videos, so seeing how Thomas creators and they’re behind the scenes videos like your’s and WildNorWester’s just makes me appreciate the time and effort each Thomas creator goes through
As someone who always has to do voice overs, recording my lines is always my least favourite part. I will call myself a pretty good talker but as soon as I hit record, I lose the ability to speak all together and fumble over every line which thus makes the recordings a pain to edit
Kinda random but I think I have an idea for season 5 of the stories of sodor Maybe you can recreate edwards exploit and maybe also make it so engine rights are revoked That would make a very nice season
Man... if I EVER wanna get my voice to be heard in one of my UA-cam videos, via in my games that is, I'll be sure to keep these tips from Victor Tanzig in mind. :)
If you have a pop filter or something of the sort to put on your microphone,(not sure how else to word that one) it helps immensely with reduction of other noises.
If there are multiple characters in a scene, do you record them all in one take, pause when switching character, or record different files for each character per scene?

Got that right. :3
the noise reduction is actually very smart, i've never even heard of doing that
Keep going through even when you say something wrong a true actor
I tell you what this is definitely helpful for rookie coming up though the ranks.
Thanks Vic.
These methods I can tell really help with your voicework.

Not a bad instructional video if you ask me.
Thanks for sharing this Victor. It'll come in handy for if/when I start my series. Thank you again, and I look forward to the next!
great Production notes 👍
I've been wanting to get into narration and doing it right, this really helps boost my confidence, thx Victor.
Love to see how you record. Audacity keeps improving. Great little program.
Very helpful Victor!
Definitely a great educational video on breaking down your voice recording setup. That's cause I'm not much into knowing this stuff.
This guide really helped cheers victor
Thanks a bunch! I have been working with Audacity to try and make music and voices.
This will help a LOT!
“ or other anomalies “ IS THAT A SCP OF SODORIES REFERENCE!1?1!1?1!1?1
You’ve got more experience than I do
Very educational Victor
Blimey now i know why stories of sodor takes at least a month to do all that we'll done to keep going victor
Don't worry, friend. We've ALL been through it.
Mmmmm. This'll come in handy in future.
Nice setup!! And I know the feeling of experimenting with programs to get the effects you want. That's how I do most things anyways.

Never.... And it's all your fault
Sheesh. There’s a whole lot that goes into this. No small feat indeed.

When I do it, I'm like the Winnebago man.
Did somebody say…
A U D I O ? !
I normally want to sound like a 1945 car carpeting salesman
Oh, that’s how you record audio and then add it to your videos
thank you victor
Hi Victor big fan. Quick question any chance there will be a part 2 on the last episode of when Mr. Starr came back alive?
That seems interesting. If I were to record my lines, I would do a warm up of my voice first.
I'm a Huge Introvert and Don't Really Like Using My Voice Online.
When is the next Sodor Short coming
I do some voice overs through the characters all the time
When are you posting another series again
I hate how my real voice sounds in microphone. I stutter a lot so it makes it harder to get my point across.
How do you lay the sound over the acting of the charecters?
Nice micrio😃
It Sounds Interesting
I use Audacity too!
If you need, I reccomend standing and speaking from your diaphragm so you don’t damage your throat

I’m surprised you do this all by yourself and not hire any voice actors?!😂
anyone else miss the reddit?
22 hours till this is 24 hours or 1 day old
Does it get tiring when you do different voices for different characters in one episode?
