Thank you for the comments about the bike riders! I have the exact same sentiments. Just cant understand why they feel they have right of way. Terrible attitude. Puts everyones life at risk.
In my home state of Wisconsin they've told me that if I'm just hauling here and there and it's not a primary source not income then it's not considered commercial.
Totally understand the frustration with Cyclists. Out here in Colorado, I cant imagine pulling a trailer like that on a nice day. There are so many wanna be pro cyclists out here that on a day like that you simply cant get anywhere in the mountains in any reasonable amount of time. Drive for an hour you will run into 100+ cyclists outside boulder. With so many blind curves, you simply have no choice but to dang near stop behind a bunch of these guys decked out in spandex. That frustration is without even considering the ones that blow around a blind corner way too fast crossing into the other lane and oncoming traffic then be pissed cause a car was coming in that lane. Or the ones that blow through red lights and stop signs without even so much as a glance for their surroundings. Some of the roads out here are just a perpetual cycling competitions with no winners from spring to fall.
DOT cops told me to get magnetic stickers. When I'm commercial put them on when just driving around take them off. I keep all my trucks in my personal name not my company name. They did tell me if they see me with a skid steer on back pulling into a job site, they know I'm working for hire. I own several semis, I just don't want to fill out a log book for rest of my life and deal with there 11 hour work day crap.
The bike stuff depends on state. In ohio your allowed to be on the road as much as vehicles. But im the type of rider to get the hell outta large trucks way. Personally i find it a respect issue
Lots of bike riders around my area, and they love claiming they have just as much right to the road as cars but they ignore the traffic rules constantly.
There's an annual bike race here in my area that is very rural. One year, a neighbor ran his herd of cattle down the road the night before the race so that the road would have a fresh coat of manure.
13:00 situations like that backing into a right hand corner, definitely has me thinking about spending $500 on a quadcopter with live camera feed and GPS autopilot

Curious about the model. How many miles was that job? How much time from ass in seat, leaving your base to back on the sofa? How much did you make? How much fuel?

I have noticed in the past couple videos you have been mentioning the word Ford a couple of times. Makes me wonder what is in the works for VBelt and Son. 🤔
Question I'm in mn and plan to possibly start a skidsteer mulching business and at the end of the video you were you were talking about dot and not the for hire sticker. how would that work for me if I was to do a business and have my logo of the company on my truck but a not for hire sticker on the trailer ?
Amen! If you want to ride your bike, go back to your city where you came from and ride in the park! Get off our roads where we’re actually doing something that matters. They jam up traffic and endanger the safety of everyone else on the road. The definition of pure arrogance!
Like the vidjas man. Instead of at 3RD gen. It b cool to see a old long bed Dodge with a 12v haulin a load of logs... When ya gonna git a 1st gen and build it and make it sumthin nobody else has or seen lol
7:59 The cyclists are increasingly dangerous these days. They seem to pick roads with no shoulder to ride on. About 2 years ago when I still lived in San Diego I nearly ran into a 12 year old kid who was riding with his idiot father coming around a blind curve. With oncoming traffic I had to get hard on the brakes to avoid hitting them. This was in the car. If I was in a loaded truck like you no way could I have stopped in time. That road was the choice spot for cyclists because they thought it was scenic. There are trails and bike lanes all over San Diego County built using taxpayer money. I rarely saw anyone riding on those, just dozens of them riding down the winding 2 lane road with no shoulder. These guys have more of a death wish than the bikers IMO. You hear about one of them going up over someone's hood about once a week when the weather's nice, which is most of the time down there.
