I´ve read that "Merry Christmas Everyone" by Shakin' Stevens earns about 130k per year in royalties, but Shaky himself only gets between 5k and 10k as the rest of it goes to the writer of the song Bob Heatlie. Thats gotta smart a bit for Shaky!
Interesting Rob however I know East 17 were number one at Christmas although I dispute that it's a Christmas song. More of a winter one (same as A Winter's tale).
