H3cz they're called zoned dampers. Have someone go into the attic and follow the ducts. More than likely some of the dampers are not positioned correctly causing the air flow problems.
Hey guys! I worked in HVAC for quite a few years. Anyways typically the bigger the house, the higher you can keep the thermostat. I'd set all the thermostats to hold on 75 and see how that feels. and each individual room should have its own supply vent(s). you can use the lever on those to open/close them or set them halfway open or whatever. those are some simple solutions so if it becomes a real problem i would suggest calling a certified trane comfort specialist company to take a look and give more options.
just like the heating furnace, the a/c is regulated by zones. in a large house like the optic house if there isn't enough zones throughout the house, certain ends of the house can't be regulated because of lack of a zone opposed to others with a zone.
I work in an AC unit factory called ADP in mississippi and from what i know rooms with wood floors will let the air flow more and cool off a lot faster. Try setting the unit fan to Auto instead of on and find a temperature the house can all agree on in the middle. Sadly with how big the scuf house is there will not be a perfect distribution of temperatures, maybe consider installing a seperate unit or more depending on how big the place really is. Change or clean Filters often with a home of 6+ people.

quick tip for BigT...unscrew the vent metal protector, get some cling film wrap to cover the vents, then screw the metal vent cover back in...issue solved...someone else will feel the pain though lol, the air has to come out of somewhere
