The video is about the audio though. And if it's obnoxious to listen to I'm not gonna wanna listen to it. I love their stories and shit but if I can't hear someone and at the same time someone is obnoxiously loud due to audio issues, it makes me not want to watch. They really need to stop being complacent.
This channel would still be dead if it wasn't for Hitch. Learn to appreciate the effort put into this content. Its the consumer mindset. You won't learn how to appreciate effort until you make something yourself.
Hitch is in the position he's in because of Hecz. Hitch is an editor. He's paid to do this and it could have easily been someone else, hitch isn't the only editor there is. So no, although Hitch does great editing, he did not revive this channel from the dead. He simply edits and posts the content that is provided to him.
So many things wrong with this comment. Like how hard is pushing a red button waiting there for an hour or so then transfer that footage cut it up and put it out. I dont get where hitches job is super hard. Anyone that has done any basic multimedia production would know how easy hitches job really is. Its even worse because all the fanboys on here fill his head with nonsense by telling him hes good at it when clearly that isnt the case. Will not listen to this podcast until the extreme audio issues get fixed. Its unbearable

I don't get it. Someone fails with recording the audio and everyone shittalks Hitch. Hitch can only use the data which they give him. If the Audio is shit, Hitch can not do magic and somehow create a new audiofile. If the mic wasn't set up correctly (In this case too much gain), you can not do anything in the post-production. Hitch does a good job, his Vlogs are the best of all OpTic members in terms of editing and quality, Vision is fuckn dope from week to week and he does this shit regularly, daily, weekly. I want to see someone of you who can do better and not only talk shit on the internet.
How is it their podcast has the worst audio quality I've ever heard but every single member of optic have better audio in their own videos... For gods sake they're sitting on a couch.

Hey Hector/OpTic! I work in audio, and your issue is definitely clipping (I'm sure you knew this). If this wasn't caused by the source audio being too loud (if the knobs on your interface weren't turned too high during the actual recording of the podcast), then you can easily remedy the issue by running the audio through a limiter. I'd be happy to help clear up any sort of issues!
Every time I am down on my channel I come and listen to this podcast for motivation. You are what gives me what I need to keep on moving forward. 5 years and I am still making videos, one day I will be up there sipping on a pina colada with hecz! i don't know if you already do this, but if everybody mic is recording separately to make four different files (and i could be wrong about this) you should be able to put them all in a timeline, make sure the audio levels are the same, and you should be able to hear everybody. it might pick up background noise but i don't know. just an idea for you to take into consideration. hopefully you can figure it out soon.

The audio can be so much better. I would definitely love to help OpTic out with the Audio issues with the Mics and make a nice podcast area in the OpTic Scuf House. I would love to work with Hitch as well so we can improve and create great videos :)
Hector, it sounds like you're Sidechaining the different inputs, so when you speak and castro speaks, it cuts out his voice. Instead, use something called a Gate. it will bring the mic back in through a certain db threshold, so whenever Will speaks or Boze speaks, it's like the mic will automatically activate and amplify his voice. Gates will also cut out Will's voice out of Marc's mic.

Do they do audio checks before filming? Like a test? It would make sense to me, if you CONSTANTLY have audio issues? What about live monitoring? Have hitch listen in while recording?
With all the rage of how bad the podcast is...why? I just got out my earphones & plugged it in. Whatcha' know...it sounds better than what people said. There's some iffy parts, but hey I won't complain further. He finally got Castro as a guest though *thumbs up*

Judging by how awful the smooth comps are and how much problems you are having with the podcast..... Hitch might need a little bit more help...... and if Hitch doesn't need more help.... he simply isn't fit enough for the job :) Hecz always says that content is important but they simply don't put the effort in for the content to be good..... imagine being able to live in a mansion just by recording yourself going to the gym/target/somewhere to get food everyday............. lmao....

How about you guys play 1000? Its a game where you have a thrower or hitter (if you want to use a bat) and throw/hit pop flies to a group of people standing around. You call out point values and whoever catches it gets those points. first to 1k becmes the new thrower. You can also call out things like jackpot (which is an instant 1k and they become the new thrower) or you can also play by "dead or alive" rules. Dead means they have to let the ball hit the ground before they get it to get the points and alive means you have to catch it in the air. If you play like that then if someone catches a dead ball in the air, they get the points subtracted from their total. Played that all the time when I was a kid. If you decide to play, just make sure that the people catching are safe to run around, I fucked my nose pretty bad when I was 6 because I ran into some bleachers.
Hecz don't worry about making podcasts whilst away using the laptop. Just going to cause more issue imo.

If you don't like smooth comp or for some reason you think what they're doing is lame don't fucking watch it, do you know what I do when they do something I don't like in smooth comp? I don't watch it, as simple as that. Hecz we understand everyone has their own schedule and is hard to get everything together but I'm pretty damn sure you have one hour to spare each week to do the podcast, if is not with them I'm sure you could find another two to do it with, I watched one of your videos where you didn't do the podcast because you wouldn't fucking move Formals's station to his room once more? Im pretty sure its 100% not hitches fault. We all listen to podcasts. The audio isnt completely fucked before its edited. They either not have the right equipment or hector doesnt know how to record a podcast. Im thinking its both.
