The video is about the audio though. And if it's obnoxious to listen to I'm not gonna wanna listen to it. Do they do audio checks before filming? Like a test? It would make sense to me, if you CONSTANTLY have audio issues? What about live monitoring? Have hitch listen in while recording?
Hector, it sounds like you're Sidechaining the different inputs, so when you speak and castro speaks, it cuts out his voice. Instead, use something called a Gate. it will bring the mic back in through a certain db threshold, so whenever Will speaks or Boze speaks, it's like the mic will automatically activate and amplify his voice. Gates will also cut out Will's voice out of Marc's mic.
The audio can be so much better. I would definitely love to help OpTic out with the Audio issues with the Mics and make a nice podcast area in the OpTic Scuf House. I would love to work with Hitch as well so we can improve and create great videos :)
i don't know if you already do this, but if everybody mic is recording separately to make four different files (and i could be wrong about this) you should be able to put them all in a timeline, make sure the audio levels are the same, and you should be able to hear everybody. it might pick up background noise but i don't know. just an idea for you to take into consideration. hopefully you can figure it out soon.
Hey Hector/OpTic! I work in audio, and your issue is definitely clipping (I'm sure you knew this). If this wasn't caused by the source audio being too loud (if the knobs on your interface weren't turned too high during the actual recording of the podcast), then you can easily remedy the issue by running the audio through a limiter. I'd be happy to help clear up any sort of issues!
Every time I am down on my channel I come and listen to this podcast for motivation. You are what gives me what I need to keep on moving forward. 5 years and I am still making videos, one day I will be up there sipping on a pina colada with hecz! I don't get it. Someone fails with recording the audio and everyone shittalks Hitch. Hitch can only use the data which they give him. If the Audio is shit, Hitch can not do magic and somehow create a new audiofile. If the mic wasn't set up correctly (In this case too much gain), you can not do anything in the post-production. Hitch does a good job, his Vlogs are the best of all OpTic members in terms of editing and quality, Vision is fuckn dope from week to week and he does this shit regularly, daily, weekly. I want to see someone of you who can do better and not only talk shit on the internet.
