You don't have to stick to only using diatonic notes to make soemthing sound good. Often in cinematic, horror, or even action movies you can hear many composers choosing to use "out of key" notes. Don't let this scale limitation limit the possibility of your work. I have been doing music theory for about 7 years and have been composing for longer. I used to think everything had to be "in key", but I realized there are so many emotions you can't reach in this diatonic box. Though the mixing on this track might not be completely perfect, I don't believe there is anything wrong with the harmony, as the artist may have been trying to aim for a gritty or darker feel often seen in hip hop tracks. So before commenting "mistakes" the artist made, take a second to notice that you only know the tip of the iceberg and that you are not an expert in this field so you don't have the creditability to say what is wrong or right.
