The REVOLT looks great. Has a great back wall. Dead in the hand. No hand shock. I went wt the REVOLT over the v3. The v3 did not fit Wright in my hand. It hurt after a few shots. The REVOLT is great. I can tune any fixed blade broadhead to work wt my bow. Wt the deadlock cams. The flip disc is great. You get two bows in 1. The grip is golden. And it looks great
Enjoyed hearing you gush about my bow!.. I have the Revolt X in kryptek altitude.. surprised you don't like the looks of the newer Bowtechs, I really like the looks of it!.. super sexy bow!.. i enjoy your archery passion!.. thanks for all the work you put in!.. keep em coming man!🏹🎯🦌👍
I’ve had the opportunity to shoot both the Revolt X, Revolt, VXR 28, and VXR 31.5. (50-100 shots each) All these bows are awesome! I’d say the draw cycle is the best on the bowtechs. Super smooth and consistent without the dump at the end. The VXRs cosmetically look great and kill vibration, but you pay for the speed they produce in the draw cycle. It stacks a little more. Really comes down to what your preferences are. I can’t say one is better than the other. I will say that both are the better bows brought to market for 2020.
Rifle & Reel the color of it was the “mossy oak brown country roots” And I couldn’t tell ya about the draw cycle difference with the realm SS, I think I shot that one once last year and can’t remember haha
In reality, the Revolt X is slighly heavier than the Revolt (the difference here should be either the sight and rest you add or an error in the scale). Both bows share the same limbs and the riser is similar in size, but in the Revolt X the angle in the limb pockets is less parallel, so the axle to axle is longer but the fistmelle is shorter (basic geometry).
The revolt is heavier because the external riser length is longer creating more parallel limbs and therfore a shorter ata. There is physically more material on the riser of the shorter ata bow.
I've watched lots of your videos and just subscribed. Your opinions do seem to waver. I'd like to see you shoot the Revolt X vs Matthew 31.5. I really like when you shoot at 60# as I have over twice your years. Kudos.
Just found your channel and like both this video and the one you did on the Hoyt RX4/Axius ultra. I’m had a very similar reaction with the Revolt when I shot it. If you had to choose between the Axius Ultra vs the Revolt X....what would it be?
Hey quick question. Does the revolt x have the mount for a back bar on the back of the riser, or do u have to run a dual mount up front to have a back bar?
my guess is you have the module in the comfort setting and not on the performance. The draw is not very good and the valley is extremely short the draw is actually pretty harsh and wants to lunge forward if you let up at all when you switch it around. If you do a comparison on the vxr and the revolt you need to have the revolt in the performance setting so that you are comparing equally. When the revolt is in the comfort setting you are not getting the same performance that they advertise them at. (IBO speed). Also, Idk if it happened to be the one I shot but the hand shock was horrible. It felt like a tuning fork in my hand and I could feel it up to my shoulder. I'm not a Mathews fan at all. I have shot Bowtech for years. Still shooting a Bowtech invasion CPX as I type this but I think Mathews knocked it out of the park by combining the vertex and the Triax together and changing up the riser and making the vxr
I shot both a VRX and the Revolt X about 3 days ago and the only part I really agree with you about on the Bowtech is the extremely short valley. I had it lurch on me a couple times before I got used to it. Other than that is draws super smooth and it's dead in the hand. I actually preferred the Bowtech. The VRX is an awesome bow, but it doesn't draw as smooth.
Except every arrow shot at a deer with a Mathews penetrates about halfway, if you're lucky. I can't even tell ya how many episodes of hunting shows I've watched where the hunter is using a Mathews, while also wearing everything Sitka of course, and the deer runs away with 3/4 of an arrow sticking out of it. They're like lobbing a friggin banana through the air.
@@peterkaviuk9878 I would imagine they used the lightest arrow and mechanical broadhead set up. I used fixed heads and a heavier shaft and have had no problem on complete pass through out to 76 yards. Cant always go by what you always see in tv. I own alot of bows. Only time I had problems with pass through was with light arrows and mechanical broadheads. Hence, change your set up. Favorite bow, Elite Synergy, latest set up mathews triax, and soon a VXR 31.5. But indo agree with you. Speed this speed that, it comes at a cost with those mechanical broadheads.
@@justinboyer4745 For sure. I just find it kinda funny that there's so much hype about Mathews because they're on every friggin episode of every hunting show. I shoot a 2012 Bowtech Insanity CPX which is still a fantastic shooting bow by even today's standards. I've recently discovered I've been using too light an arrow myself, but it didn't seem to matter seeing as how they still blow through both shoulders and came out the other side! Bowtech:) Gonna have to go from a Victory armor piercing gamer 400 to a 300 as I've got my bow set at 70lbs. I honestly prefer fixed heads as there's less of a chance for mechanical failure. I'm looking into picking up some new Wasp Havalon HVs. I'm relatively new to the whole compound bow thing. I grew up shooting recurves and still love them, however, it's just kinda silly to dismiss the advantage a compound has at mitigating the chances of wounding an animal. I give props to anyone who bow hunts regardless their choice of brand. We gotta stick together and keep the sport alive! Peace. '
They have alot of pro staffers on the outdoor programs. They pay alot of money on advertising and honestly, their company is good at marketing their product. I will say I did not drink the koolaid at all. I have gone through numerous bows and dont go by what I see on tv. The bow I shot that has done everything just as well was a darton maverick. However it's old, wore out, and I just dont wanna sink money into old tech. I loved the SR6, just not enough to spend my money a year later. I believe its BT's best bow in years. But to each his own. Their company was on the downside until the reign and they have been pouring it on ever since. Someday I could actually see myself having one. But until then, enjoy!
i agree, i dont like the look of them. but the performance and features are there
I know this is an old video, but wondering at 26.5” draw if the (X) 33” is too much. I currently shoot the Solution at 32ATA w no issues.

I really appreciate when you actually measure the draw weight. Thanks.
Thanks for the support! Means a lot!!
If you had to pick one for alround use which one would you take?
I like the revolt X on comfort mode I’d say!
How much did the arrow weigh?
440 grain!

Draw cycle wise, did you feel a difference between the Revolt and the X?
Not really! They’re both very similar!
Excited about shooting my Revolt!
Heck ya man! You’ll love it!
Watching your vid again!

That makes a lot of sense!! Thanks for your insight!!

@@Mr_Cooki.e Tell that to the Mathew's TRX lineup...
Sooo....new contender with the vxr? That sounds super quiet too. I think maybe just a little less string noise.
Yeah honestly it’s a pretty dang awesome bow!! I need to shoot the VXR and the revolt X with each other!
Well now I’m looking forward to your VXR and Revolt X comparison video!
Yea do a revolt x vs vxr video
Lusk archery compared the two with a DB meter and the bowtech is more quiet than the VXR
Really? Dang that’s awesome!!
I would love to see the VXR and/or the Revolt up against the Elite KURE
My shop doesn’t have a Kure but if they do get one I’ll jump on it!!
Arrow weight?
437

Another great review .
To be honest I dunno how much knowledge you actually have, not saying it’s lacking but I really dig the content my friend. New sub and I liked. 👍
Thanks so much man! Been doing archery for 16 years!
You know what gets me? $1200 price tag and Bowtech gives you plastic limb pockets. Whats up with that?
Gotta pick your pros and cons I guess haha but yeah i prefer the VXR for the price!
i have i bowtech they are extremely solid and strong it doesnt take a while to realize but get your point
@@HaxenHunt ive bought both!
What release do you use?
rather have go then show!!!!

It’s got a mount for a rear!
so... hows the draw cycle?
