Tony (Robert Downey Jr.) quickly transforms into Iron Man to battle Whiplash (Mickey Rourke) at the racetrack.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
As Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) owns up to being Iron Man before the world press, Anton Vanko lies dying in Russia. Years ago, Anton worked with Tony's father to create a new source of energy. But greed got the best of Anton, and now as he slips away, his son, Ivan (Mickey Rourke), vows to make Tony pay for the sins of his father. Meanwhile, Tony fends off efforts from smarmy Senator Stern (Garry Shandling) and military weapons expert Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell) to get him to divulge the secrets of his powerful Iron Man suit. The powers that be are concerned that Tony's technology may fall into the wrong hands -- fears that are soon confirmed when the cocky billionaire entrepreneur is confronted in front of the entire world by Ivan, who has built his own weapon using stolen Stark blueprints. Later, as Lt. Rhodes (Don Cheadle) wrestles with the decision to personally deliver Tony's suit to the military, Ivan finds an unlikely ally in the quest to destroy Iron Man; Stark Industries legal consultant Natalie Rushman (Scarlett Johansson) reveals her connection to Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson); and Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) takes on some new responsibilities.

Is it just me of is it when the helmet closes up one of the most satisfying scenes ever
Yes
Yes
Leg push on car
Hope his hair didnt get caught
No the legs as they Assamble!
In the case Tony doesn’t have a suit, he brought a suit that turns into a case, called the suitcase suit. It suits Tony.
Ah yes. He has a suit in a suit case that suits him if he doesn’t have his suit.
"It suits Tony" is a beautiful double entendre.
Was that a suitable joke?
Very suitable joke for this movie
whatever, suit yourself.
when an emergency suit has the best suit up in the entire MCU
Ummm you sure about that?
Mark 3, mark 7, and mark 46 had pretty amazing suit ups and I think mark 3’s suit up was way better than this one
Which suit up is the best depends upon peoples preferrence. But more people would pick this one as the best. For me it is also.
Bleeding edge is the best
And we only see it once
Imagine going to a Comic-Con with that thing and suiting up in front of everyone.
TheLoneLoony dude i would be SO DOWN FOR THAT!
+TheLoneLoony They be jealous. ;p
They see me flyin...they hatin!!!
Talk about making a scene
Come back in about 20 years and the reply will be
‘We got that already’
That's why it's called The 'Suit'case.
+Tan Hong Yi A suit-suit-case.
Tan Hong Yi clever
Just in *case* he needs gis suite
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahaha Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
Ayyyyyyy
To me, this was the best Iron Man suit-up scene in the MCU.
Infinity war nanotech is arguably better
@@jayvmm I can see why you like that one more. There’s just something so satisfying about hearing all of the small mechanics coming together in the suitcase suit.
@@jayvmm not really.. just bad cgi
@@vasqu3z893 If that’s bad cgi then what’s good cgi
@@cutsceneentertainment6706 Iron Man 1 tbh best cgi out of all iron man suits
This is my favorite armor. Apparently it’s weaker than the normal armors because it’s a lot thinner than the rest. Not only that but it has no weapons besides repulsor blasts. Still, it rocks and I want one
Maurice Simpkins II
The Mark V(5) armor was made to be used in an emergency situation where he wasn't able to have his workshop spend 5 minutes putting on the full armor. It was never made for fighting the big guys, probably meant for some jackass with a gun rather than a proper villain. To make sure the armor could always be with him, he made it capable of compacting down into a suitcase, but this required several changes besides some programming and extra joints. The armor is made out of a lighter and weaker metal, rather than the normal gold-titanium mix, and the outer armor is much thinner, allowing it to be carried in case mode. Also, the armor did not have room for most of the standard equipment, such as the wrist and collarbone weapons, hence why he only uses the repulsers. The boosters in the feet and back required for flight were also removed, locking him to the ground.
Voltronimus Prime Cool
Voltronimus Prime In the Iron Man 3 mobile game this flies. Is that just because the game is about flying and shooting robots, or...
This suit might be one of the easiest to replicate in real life. Its basically a power exosuit.
Maurice Simpkins II sadly mark 50 makes this look like a toy. Still my favourite suit too.
it must be painful to have his hair caught in the armor
Wei Wan
Pubic hair too xD
Oh My God I thought I was the only one on Earth who thought that !!!
Knowing Tony he probably spent days figuring out a way to keep his hair perfect
is there a blooper?
Maybe I'm alone with this opinion, but this suit up is way cooler than what he is doing now. I mean, in Infinity War it's basically magic. But this here is just a badass strong metal IRON suit, and a badass way to put it on.
magic is just science that we don't understand yet.
he said in the movie that it’s nanotechnology. so i think one can conclude that all the nanobots can mold to form different weapons and whatnot and plus when pepper top him to get rid of “that” (as she says while tapping the triangle on his chest) he told her it’s a storage compartment for the nanobots.
Mark 3 suit up is the best ever, then this one.
@@___-cv2ek Although we lost the cool factor, It made sense to upgrade. We have seen in many movies that the limitations of his previous suit have failed him many times over like Antman getting into the cracks of suit, running out of power/weapons and I think the most important moment that made him switch to nanotech is was when in during civil war where cap and bucky took apart his suit piece by piece. Tony cant afford to not suit up immediately anymore, dosent have the luxury of waiting for his suit to come to him or wait to be armored up.
it's not magic,it's microbots put in his nervous system that can change form at will
Pepper throws it to him as though it's got dog shit on it.
LSJ Shez no....
LSJ Shez lol
No she was just tangled in the situation and reacted like that
sevan grigoryan doesn’t get the joke
ANDRADA also doesn’t get the joke
Without the music and camera angles... It must be pretty awkward waiting for the suit to put itself together.
I mute the video to test it, music still plays inside my head xD
that would’ve happened if the movie were released today, since marvel likes to make jokes
@@xavierramirez1911 kinda like hearing Starlord singing in Endgame, you hear him from someone else's perspective.
Someone edit the video and remove the music lol
Honestly you'd think while the suit is putting itself together would be the best point to attack but nope
Literally a suit-case
The look on his face at 0:19 is the most, "I'm *so* gonna kick your ass" look I've ever seen in a movie.
+fRo0tLo0p Pepper was involved wasn't she? :P
u messed with the wrong guy dude XD
k
fRo0tLo0p u uz
fRo0tLo0p remind me so much of bakugan
This depiction of iron man is much cooler than the later ones. Also I miss when villains were just city level threats and heroes were fighting smaller stake more realistic battles
Arguably, the best Iron man suit up scene. It's so satisfying to see that minute detailing of the suit. Kudos to the VFX artists.
I doubt we'll see another epic suit up like this again, as Stark's technology gets better the suit ups are much faster and easier.
and they look more and more fake which equals boring.
yeah man
if you look back to iron man 1 and 2 the suits are more brute force and feel and sound like an Iron suit.
I just watched infinity war and SPOILER ALERT
nanobots? seriously?
I feel like the new suits don’t look as good as the old ones like to me they just look severely fake compared to old ones if you get what I mean.
Trunks Briefs Next we have that op damn edo sym armor using some liquid metal to go on you instead of nanobots
Daniel Sijmonsbergen _All of the suits, including the one you see in infinity war with the nanobots, are taken directly from the comics._
I finally realized why whiplash's wips cut through everything except tony's suit. His suit is designed to store absorb electricity. Planes and jets getting hit by lightning is actually really common, but they're designed to handle it. Iron Man's suit obviously had the same safety feature. So when Wiplash tries to use his wips on them they don't work because they're draining away the electricity that creates the plasma streams. Neat.
wpkjojb 09
Thanks for not wanting me to get on a plane again
+Phil Dog Yeah, you're right. In Iron Man Armoured Adventures, this suit was made specifically for whiplash (to be able to take the electricity)
Suit has the exact same colour scheme as this one.
NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERD!!!!!!
+Allroundmoviemaker hahaha
That suitcase must be really heavy.
Thank you
It’s 15 kilograms
It's the thinnest iron man suit
It’s probably made from this very light titanium alloy
@@morineopepe3100 no.
The thinnest suit is Mk85
Which only weighs 25 pounds(11KG)
0:22 That intro tho!!
randomshittutorials shut up
fatmanj stye I didn’t actually stop hating
fatmanj stye No, don’t tell me what to do, you little peasant.
You’re not calling out anything
fatmanj stye Listen, Trash you used the wrong you’re it’s you’re go back to second grade to learn grammar.
0:56 I just now realized that Happy screams Tony's name in the background after Whiplash increases the voltage. It never occurred to me how close to the action he and Pepper were. It must have been tough for them to just sit there and watch Tony take a beating. Also, great attention to detail on Jon Favreau's end.
This is one of my most faviroute scenes in marvel history
It's my favorite suit it resembles mediaval armor with that over lapping metal protection, probably one of the weaker ones but it does the job well
Not to metion that you can carry it in a backpack
Coolest suiting up sequence, made even better by the epic music.
I saw this way back a decade ago when it was in theaters, the crowds reaction when Tony opened the case was crazy! Say what you will about Iron Man 2, it has my favorite suit of the entire MCU.
the level of details on this suit is just amazing..kudos to the director
This and the Mark 7 suit up in Avengers when Tony is thrown from the window are my favorite suit-ups for Iron Man. Simply badass
Nanotech is cool but u can't never beat the 0:10 sounds jesus I came 3 times typing this
Lol
Rest in peace. I love you 3000
This was my favorite moment from all the Iron Man movies!
The first portable Iron Man. I like how Tony improves his designs over time. This brings real dept to his character development alongside his Iron Man’s armor.
THE BEST suit up sequence of the MCU.
Best scene of the whole film hands down!!
Probably the best most iconic Iron Man scene in all the MCU movies IMHO
Your not series
Best iron man suit up for sure
Allthough it'll never happen probably, and it's too biased in Civil War perspective, but it would be awesome if Iron Man got an epic suit-up like this in the film...
+AboAbdulable I'd love to see the modular armor. Have a drone add on new parts as he's flying.
+AboAbdulable He does have one of his suit-up moments.
Logen M
Oh ok, allthough i haven't seen the movie yet...
You should watch Civil War, definitely the best movie marvel has released. It's mature and has little to no story issues. It also has the best action scenes in a Marvel movie and any other comic book movie to date.
+Logen M I really wish I could see it, but there are no theaters in my country...and will just have to wait for the Blu-Ray...
“It’s not iron it’s a gold, titanium alloy.”
The one moment in the entire movie that makes it 7 times better already
The new nanotech armour is like SSJGod , it become ridiculous powerful and magical it lost the magic of original legendary SSJ. I really love iron Man suit up in Avengers and everything before that..
Magic is science we dont understand yet.
0:02 astronaunt in 2035 be suiting up be like
I remember watching this scene at the cinema. The whole crowd goes wild.
I don't see why people hate this suit, since he had a similar suit in his animated series.
Nelcomarproductions I love this suit!
Funny thing is. In almost every animated Iron Man series that I've seen. It's the silver (some times called Silver Centurion) armor that was made.....*specifically* for Whiplash.
@@razgrizraven silver centurion exists but it's a different armour in iron man 3
@@SardonicJosh Iron man 3 it's a mess up :( so many armours for few seconds. Dam it.
Yorgan Yog well thats just the fault of the movie making the suits like tissue paper
0:55-1:00 Whiplash changes arms between shots
arthuraz LMAO!
0-0
These transformation scenes, with a great musical score behind it, are something I always look forward to in a movie. Superman I, Superman II, Batman, and The Flash all had them. Even Smallville's Final episode had a decent one. I can now add this Ironman II scene to my list. Too bad these are few and far between nowadays.
Love how they chose this suit as the cover for Iron man 2
When theres a shooter in the school but the quiet kid pulls out one of these:
Man i loved that scene! The look on his face as he suits up, hell yeah!
0:21 I like how the part of the mask folds in and I feel like that looks better
Man, this was one of, if not THE, best suit up scenes in the MCU! Almost everything post-endgame is either a magic-instant-summon or a nanotechnology suit that just shows up or vanishes. But this? This was a whole sequence, and it was beautiful!
R.I.P Iron Man Best Avenger❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Is the construction of this suit possible? And I dont mean the problem of the power source, which is fictional.
I mean, would it be theoretically possible to make a full body exoskeleton armor suit this collapsible? Or is would the required mechanism be just too complex? And would it be able to function (again, if we did have a power source)? I feel like it would be a nightmare - one grain of sand and the whole thing would jam up.
+Vilkku Could very well be possible, but just don't expect it to be very durable (could change), or come with cool weapons infact without the power source expect no weapons.
Possible, but very complex. We'd probably need some sort of AI to handle all the calculations.
bee14ish
It could be completely mechanical though. It would require a good team of engineers to sit together and figure out how all the components would fit.
Logen M And as we all know, Tony is much more than that. Building the suit in the cave must have required insane amounts of calculation and visualization, Tesla-style.
I'm guessing the Mark V is a disposable-type suit; can be only deployed once and must be dismantled manually? Looking at the hydraulics, mechanism, and it's durability, sure looks like it. o.o
Bro this is my favorite suit he ever put on! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You know what I just realized? This is a reference to the 80's cartoon, when he used that suitcase as well
It may be one of his least advanced suits in terms of functions and usability but it is still my absolute favorite both in its design and how he put it on!
Everything from the color scheme, to the way he puts it on, to the actual design of the suit, makes it my favorite Iron man suit ever, besides maybe the MK 42
Still the coolest scene in the entire MCU
I love this armor and suit up scene. Even though you can see it's not that strong. One hit takes out his left hand repulsor and most of the glove, which you can see at 0:38
This is the BEST SUIT UP IN ALL THE FILMS.PERIOD
The suit that made me love Silver! Absolutely love this armor and the Comic Silver Centurion. Thanks Iron Man 2
imagine if his hair got stuck between those metal plates
"JARVIS JARVIS! MY HAIR!! MY GODDAMN HAIR!!"
Not my favorite armor, but definitely my favorite suit up scene
The suitcase suit scene will forever be iconic and by far my favorite suit up scene ever.
Mom : Fast, You have 20 seconds to put your cloth on
Me: 0:04
11 years later and it's still my favorite suit.
0:18 That "Now you are fucked" look...
Someone has to agree that this is the coolest suit of all of the 85 suits
I grew up on the suitcase armor model. When I was first introduced to Iron Man as a kid, it was in the form of the animated 90s TV series. The suitcase armor became my go to whenever I imagined Iron Man. I was really excited when I saw them debut it in the movie.
One of the best suit up scenes. Definitely used for emergency situations it'll still freaking awesome to see it
I pause it second by second to see how it transforms. So.AWESOME
Hi
@@rohanislam8652 hi! How are you?
marvel's CGI went from "cool suit that would give an engineer tears of joy" to "funny floating kid's head talking to thor"
My favourite Iron Man suit Tony has ever used, at least in terms of the way he puts it on.
Awesome suit-up music track, really rocks.
To this day, I can come back to this scene and just smile😊
Way better than Avengers IW suit up
yeah this is m favourite suit up by far
Loved this call back to the 90s Iron Man show
Still such a cool scene
Loved the way they utilized the portable suit
I like Tony’s expression when he suits up”
0:20 that face... you do NOT screw with THAT FACE (I mean the expression, but it can be interpreted as his pretty facial freatures as well X3)
I like how his suit continuously and gradually evolves in terms of portability and ease of suiting up throughout the film series.
Looking back at this I really love this movie so much it was my childhood and this was my favorite part of the movie and my favorite suit of all time
A perfect bully protection system
Arguably the best suit-up in the MCU, in terms of stakes. That is, besides the Hulkbuster suit-up, and the mid-air suit-up from The Avengers.
I love the iron sound effect. So satisfying
Clips like this make me wish I could go back in time to the 80s or 90s and show this to an Ironman fan of the day.
What I love about this suit is that it got a fundamental aesthetic difference with the others, it's small, compact, and made up of smaller pieces than a complete piece of metal. Too bad it still merged together like a single piece in most area, looking at all the lines would be cooler.
Whiplash was kinda busy being squished by a car....
Love how when Vanko turns the electric on, Pepper winces & Happy yells "Tony!". Such attention to detail.
One of the best suit up scenes
One of my favs suit up scene
How quaint of Vanko to watch Tony suit up. I don't blame him though, that suit's fire
I'm getting some serious Sentai vibes from this scene
Ahhhhhh the good old days of phase 1 mcu
THEE BEST hero's entrance I've ever seen!!! Outside thor in infinity wars
Ok one seeing his chest energy go thru the wires and connect to the repulsors was just icy asf 0:10
What a cool movie moment when the mask drops and he goes from being Tony Stark to Iron Man
This Mark V v Infinity War Mark 50 suit up
Still my favorite scene.
If Pepper could lift the suitcase, then Stark wouldn't be able to push the car.
It's a powered armor. It's strong when it's activated
The motors in the suit made the push, that's why it's so strong.
Your logic is amusing.
Iron man before: suitcase
Iron man now: just presses his arc reactor and the suits on
This is my favorite suit up and one of my favorite suits it looks so cool
New Marvel fans will never understand how epic this suit-up was when we first saw it in the theatres
And you will never understand when to stop gatekeeping
When you realise the suit is silver instead of gold is because it wasn't able to fly, therefore it didn't require the gold-titanium alloy.
I'm not sure about the suit's capabilities but that's a neat observation
I think the reason why everyone likes this one so much is because not only does the suit up look amazing but it also sounds amazing, all the clicks and hums make it incredibly satisfying in my opinion.
He uses the pain from his hair getting caught in the armor to fuel his fighting style. ATTAC.
