HI Joe, You struck Gold!!! You found some incredible 45's!!! Brings back mu growing up years too. Absolutely the best of times. How blessed we were to grow up in the 70's. Enjoy them Joe!!!!
Fantastic collection of 45's! I have alot of those records in the original sleeves as well. We are from the same era. I remember all these songs when they were new.
There is nothing more satisfying then being there when an old collector's collection hits the market...and the shit is in magnificent shape! They've done all the work in hunting it down and trying to find it in good shape. All you gotta do is pull out the cash.....Call me lazy..but that's how I love it....Yeah..you'll pay a bit more......but who cares if the shit is in mint condition?
Really like that Peter Wolf 45 The CD of that is extremely hard to find I was in Amsterdam and found the us version for five euros probably my best fine I ever found on CD
Man That hit the sweet spot of my teenage years. Don Fardons version was a minor hit in Rochester, and 2525, my memory is it was a hit around the first moon landing. 45s were king especially with the allowance crowd, had to save or get LPs for Christmas and birthdays. Great video Joe.
joe...what great memories...i had most of those 45's back in the day...i knew all the ones you showed except the last one...i knew the version by the raiders....we both grew up basically same time same place...60's...new york...wabc...ron lundy....all good stuff...yes, even the osmonds....and it was really cool seeing chick-a-boom....haven't thought about that in decades but always loved it.....you really need a jukebox to put these all in....that would be cool.....by the way...in the 80's, did you listen to 1440-wnyg radio...it was an oldies station out of new york...just curious...peace and good health to you and your lady...rocky
Joe, you do the same thing I do with certain records…I could have a decent Lp copy of something, but if I see a well kept CD or cassette for next to nothing, I get it. I’ve kicked myself later for passing up nice items. Congratulations on the single haul!
Nice selection. I have a few of those myself. At antique stores I'm always on the lookout for some old carry cases, but every time I come across one the seller seems to be using it for his 45s or it's the style for little girls.
hi joe, what a bunch of great 45s in such beautiful condition! all winners for sure, the cher one on kapp is unusual because by that time i had thought they had stopped using the old label design and were using the newer modern orange label like you said, thats the one i had. maybe they repressed it because of demand and used the old labels they had left over or something. kapp has always been one of my favorite record labels from the 50s and 60s. really fun to see these 45s, my favorite vinyl format, thanks for sharing these! take care, rob
I love "I Melt With You"... just makes you think of a John Hughes film. Have You Seen Her - the second you showed it, I heard it in my head. Same with This Magic Moment!
If that Chi-Lites record is a Pitman pressing I’m super jealous because I’m trying to track one of those down. I love collecting 45’s so this video was a real treat!
9:35 - I liked "This Magic Moment" a lot, but I really loved the flip side "Since I Don't Have You". I had no idea it was a cover. I also love that version.
I wouldn't play Sweet City Woman either. I bought Sweet And Innocent too. Shoot me. I've never seen a Kapp label like that either. Yo-Yo was my favorite Osmonds song. "Press Records"?? We used to say "If it's on Dunhill, forget it!"
Please can someone tell me why every time I search for a 45 rpm record I only find the image of the vinyl itself and never the image on the cover? Don't 45 rpm records usually have them? PS: Thank you for all these vinyls charged with great energy.
Hi Joe- Enjoy your channel. As others have said- great haul of pristine 45s! I love it when I find them in pristine condition-including the original sleeves! Have a question for you-we've all seen the increase in value and prices for all things vinyl- especially LPs. Do you think the value for 45s like the ones you just showed, in NM (or close) condition with original sleeves, (and promos as well) is going up in value? What's your opinion on that? Thanks!
80's is my bag. Picked up a huge record that would not fit on anyone's turntable. For Delco autos part training record. Then grabbed Altered Images and Hair Cut 100. Couldn't leave those. Jay & Am Cara Mia and Jay & Tech Apples Peaches Pumpkin Pie my favorites of them.
I listen to classic 60's and 70's hard rock along with heavy metal (Sabbath, Priest, etc.) and some electronic (Kraftwerk, Art of Noise, etc) and Prog rock (Yes, ELP, etc.)....having said that: Guilty pleasures: 1. Petula Clark - she's great in concert - go see her. 2.LuLu 3. Neil Sedaka - he's great in concert - go see him. 4.Bubblegum 60's music 5.Old AM radio one hit wonders 6. Need I go on.....because I can.... And yes - I still spin my "24 Goofy Greats" (K-Tel) at least once a year....ask me if I feel guilty? Fuck no......
Beach Boys - could never understand on their 45 picture sleeve for California Girls they are somewhere in Europe sitting outside with heavy jackets on ...... nobody thought of a summer scene. ?
Here’s a question, being from the U.K. I have quite a good mostly 50’s 60’s 70’s singles collection, do you think there worth more or less than the U.S. versions?
Joe what do you think of the new music movement. Here's a poem being posted. Yes it's official in music! The auto tuned era is done! Fake is over, and real is back! Which side are you on?
Does anybody watching this not only remember the DeFranco Family, but if so, does anyone think they were a blatant ripoff of the Osmonds, especially when Tony DeFrano and Donny Osmond looked and sounded so much alike.
Great selection of 45’s Joe! I always loved the Elektra caterpillar label. That’s one of my favorites.
Those album label designs are a work of Art. Love the Beach Boys picture sleeve with the imprint autographs on back.
That picture was taken on the steps of Hawthorne High School where the Wilson brothers and Al attended.
Oh wow awesome vinyl haul and records you always have a neat collection man
Great haul Joe, we could load up a jukebox with all those , lots of memories!
Hey Joe lots of very cool 45s! Thumbs up
Trish
Nice collection! I like the beach boys with the original picture sleeve. It's nice to find 45s that have a picture sleeve.
Good morning Joe. Pretty sweet 45s ...definitely some good memories in those bags for me too. Thanks for sharing.✌🕉🍏
HI Joe, You struck Gold!!! You found some incredible 45's!!! Brings back mu growing up years too. Absolutely the best of times. How blessed we were to grow up in the 70's. Enjoy them Joe!!!!
Hey Joe, it's nice to see 45's well taken care of rather than well loved. Take care...
Here we go again.
Great video Joe lot's of memories in your haul. Thanks so much for the video's you make!!
Really nice 45's!
Singing along to each 45 you showed. Geesh! Such good music in those days!
I've always enjoyed 7" picture sleeves.
All great ones Joe. What a great purchase. Congrats. I bought several of those also in the early 70s. Jay Black…one of the great voices RIP.
Fantastic collection of 45's! I have alot of those records in the original sleeves as well. We are from the same era. I remember all these songs when they were new.
Gypsys Tramps & Thieves seems to have a '60s label, perhaps the plant it was pressed at had left over older labels they were using up.
I don't know which design I like better - the giant pink and orange K or the black one.

Great selection of 45s you picked up.The previous owner took very good care of those they are in amazing condition.
Yes to seeing that exquisite Beach Boy's picture sleeve. I've got that one as well! I'd love some more.
A great bunch of 45’s I been collecting 45 too! Have a good one Joe!
Sweet clean 45. Rpm records keep going take care
Awesome 45s! Bringing back memories.

The year 2525 was always a song that struck a weird nerve for me haha.
Nice selection. I have a few of those myself. At antique stores I'm always on the lookout for some old carry cases, but every time I come across one the seller seems to be using it for his 45s or it's the style for little girls.

And the song that you were talking about Indian Reservation was written by John D Loudermilk
Some great 45s from days gone by...
Thanks!
Thank YOU!
The Rascals It's a beautiful morning was one of the first stereo 45 commercially CSG process
9:35 - I liked "This Magic Moment" a lot, but I really loved the flip side "Since I Don't Have You". I had no idea it was a cover. I also love that version.
Amazing condition Joe!
I always like the other side of the Elton John song Crocodile Rock is called Elderberry wine that's a rocker to the flip side
Those records are so reflective you can use them to shave.
Do it Again is good stuff.
Great records joe
Marvin Rainwater did the original and imo best version of indian reservation(The pale faced Indian)
I wouldn't play Sweet City Woman either. I bought Sweet And Innocent too. Shoot me. I've never seen a Kapp label like that either. Yo-Yo was my favorite Osmonds song. "Press Records"?? We used to say "If it's on Dunhill, forget it!"
Wht do you mean "forget it?" Dunhill boasted a lot of great music in its catalogue. Barry McGuire, The Grass Roots
@@farrellmcnulty909 I know, I know. But ABC/Dunhill's slogan at the time was "If it's on Dunhill, believe it!" We were having fun with the slogan!

Hi Jeffrey. I would say it comes down to specific artists and titles.

Excellent
Hello Joe
Here’s a question, being from the U.K. I have quite a good mostly 50’s 60’s 70’s singles collection, do you think there worth more or less than the U.S. versions?
No idea.
I know I’m a year late… but UK 45s are probably worth more. US singles are mostly made of styrene which doesn’t hold up well.
I have the Elephants Memory album in Buddha Records
I have the album John and Yoko produced on Apple.
@@farrellmcnulty909 I have that one as well
