    Your Sherman is 100v. The Master pro is 134v. So even with higher wh it will still translate to roughly the same ah

    • @arcrides6841
      @arcrides6841  2 роки тому

      Energy is measured in joules or watt hours so that's really the most important metric regarding range. Think about if you had a 1 million volt EUC with the same amp hours as the Sherman. So you'd have 2.4 Million cells in total compared to the Sherman's 240 cells. Do you think you'd have the same range? Of course you'd have much much more.
      You're right in that a higher voltage allows you to burn through the battery faster but you don't have to. If you ride conservatively it should give you the expected range based on the watt hours you have available. It also depends on the efficiency of the motor at different voltages but if it's designed properly, a high voltage EUC should not suffer from lost range. It should just give you the option to deliver more power to the motor hence burning through your range.

      2400 Wh/134v = 17,9 Ah
      3200 Wh/100v = 32 Ah
      Btw Ah doesn't mean anything without it's voltage

      @@d.n.3086 I think he was talking about the Master Pro. So it would be:
      4800/134V = 35.8 Ah
      You're totally right though that without the voltage amp hours means nothing.

    I found it weird that he was trashing the master pro for it's weight and wh but then considering the v13 which almost just as heavy, with way less wh. I take it he just didn't properly research the V13 probably as they said the weight for it a while back. Can't wait to get my V13!!
    Even the Sherman S is being said to be about 90-95lbs. This gen of wheel are going to be heavy.

    Master pro is niche but that opens up the opportunity to ride across the country, or to go camping in the mountains with a Portable power station. it's Begode and once the aftermarket gets a hold of the wheel the die hard fans will find a use for all that weight

      That's great to know bro. I don't mind being wrong. I got to ride the regular Master recently and loved it. Gonna put up the footage soon. I wonder whether I would love an ultra heavy wheel like the Master Pro though. I don't think it would feel as good. I'm very light weight though.

    I live in Phoenix Arizona. I am a college student and also work full time in manufacturing. My job is clear on the opposite side of the city from my school, a distance of about sixty miles one way. I will need to travel from home to work then school then back home without charging, which adds up to at least 120 miles for one day of the week if I take one class. I value durability above all other factors. For these reasons I have chosen the V13 as my next wheel.

    • @nicksilver3757
      @nicksilver3757 Рік тому +1

      Idk how fast you plan on riding, but the V13 is going to struggle to cover 120 mi unless you're doing it at a crawl. Cruising leisurely at about 20 mph on my 3200wh Sherman, I get about 80 miles. I'm 160 lb rider with gear and the Sherman is only an 80 lb wheel. The V13 is at least 120 lbs (and a lot of the weight is rotational mass, in the motor), and only 3024wh. And it uses 126 volt system so you can drain the batteries faster than 100 volt wheels. Not trying to tell you what wheels to buy, if you like the V13 then go for it. But I really think you're gonna have a bad time trying to make that commute on it. Valuing durability above all else the Sherman S is a better option for what you need.

  • @meuconmyeuc1337

    I hear ya about the battery size and not needing that much, but if I had that amount of battery, I never would have crashed on my Sherman. It's not only about range, but going at speed for that distance. Having 4600wh of battery means you can sustain 72kph for 50 miles and never worry about a cutout. It's for that reason alone that I'm seriously considering the Master Pro. It also looks nice and sits rather high up, making it easier for a bean pole like myself to sit down and not have to have my knees next to my shoulders.
    That said, if there are "issues" with the Master Pro and the Sherman-S rolls out without any, I'll be getting the Sherman-S. IMO, Veteran should have come out with that wheel before the Abrams. There is absolutely no point in the Abrams existence as it's battery isn't powerful enough to support it's motor.
    Not to mention that the Master Pro is 134v and the Sherman is 100v, so it kind of works out the same except that extra power goes to the torque of the motor. I would prefer that and still have 100 mile range/high speed.

    • @arcrides6841
      @arcrides6841  2 роки тому +1

      That's a good point but still I don't see myself wanting to do that tradeoff of having such a heavy wheel for that extra range at speed. The Max already goes far enough at speed for my needs. Having said that if I were in a city where I could ride unhindered at speed on long smooth roads I may change my mind.
      Regarding the watt hours vs amp hours I'll leave my reply to the comment above, below:
      "Energy is measured in joules or watt hours so that's really the most important metric regarding range. Think about if you had a 1 million volt EUC with the same amp hours as the Sherman. So you'd have 2.4 Million cells in total compared to the Sherman's 240 cells. Do you think you'd have the same range? Of course you'd have much much more.

    • @arcrides6841
      @arcrides6841  2 роки тому

      That's true but even the OG Sherman will get about 110 000 km before any significant battery degradation occurs. Even at that point it will still have a range of over 80km per charge and will be usable up to around 200 000 km. So there's not much need for more longevity. The most km I've ever heard of being put on a wheel anywhere on the internet is 30 000 km.

  • @lightnerchristopher

    Appreciate your take on the Master Pro however it's a 22" wheel with suspension, 134v, and 4800wh. It's a big man/speed demon/ extended range wheel. If you weight under 180lbs, I wouldn't expect anyone to purchase it. I'm sure it's going to make the suspension less Sherman/Max feel like a toy/ "paperweight" as u stated.
    I do wish it was built more durable in the result of a spill. I'm not crazy about the plastic battery housing.
    I'm not buying the MP to use the entire range I'm buying it so I can sustain 50+mph without fear and without beeps and I can't wait for the release bc it's already pre-ordered. This is Begodes 4th attempt at a suspension wheel I'm sure the Master Pro will be a great wheel for whomever indulges.
    New Era of riding is on the horizon, prepare yourselves 🤙🏿

      Good point I'm pretty light weight. That also means I get more range from less battery. I'm satisfied with the range I get from the OG at speed but there's one more important thing to consider. If I was in a city where I could ride at top speed for long distances then I would probably desire more battery. In my city I can't do that so I can never burn through a battery like a hog. I wish I could though.

    I assumed that the 4800 wh battery was to compensate for the wheel being 134v vs 100v. One of the first things I heard ppl complain about the master was the range. It's a high torque motor running at high speeds. See ESimon's comment, it looks like they did the math.

    Leaperkim have made the inspired decision to have an outside specialised cycle suspension firm design their suspension system for the Sherman S, it will be very interesting to see how this turns out vis a vis the InMotion V13. Weight increases on both wheels may set them over and beyond the ‘practical offroad’ use barrier though, and jumping with these heavier wheels is simply gonna be a no-no. But for sure they’re likely to be very comfortable cruising wheels, though this is not really what you are looking for in you ‘delivery mode’ application. Best wait and see.
    The Begode Master can be improved in terms of its out of the box fragility, which seems to be its main let-down, but even saying this, Chance Hinze (WattsSingleTrack channel on YT) rates it far above the rest currently, and nobody gives their wheels a harder time off-road. With Grizzla or the much larger Clark protection bumpers, you have a great level of added protection for the Master, albeit at a cost, but it makes sense (in the absence of Begode beefing up the rear light, using better quality foam for the seat, etc) to protect your substantial investment. A roll cage like those made by Splyce EUC would also go a ‘looooong-waaay’ 😆 to protect both the battery packs and the top & tail of the wheel.
