Every card that my late husband gave me, during our 50 year marriage, he signed it with, "I love you more today than yesterday, but not as much as tomorrow." The last card he gave me was for my birthday, just four days before he passed away. This song still brings me joy!

From sunny spring days in 1969. A wonderful time in my life.
My grandma use to waitress at a restaurant downtown and would take me with her. She was only in her early 30s when I was a kid and I'll never forget her singing this song to me. She had this hightop van and I remember looking out the window at the windows on a downtown building and seeing the reflection of her van. I looked back at her and she was waving her hand in the air with her long ruby red nails just singing at the top of her lungs "I LOOOOOVE EEE YOU MORE TODAY THAN YESTERDAYYYYYY!!!" I am just here now reminiscing, crying so hard and thinking about her. She passed in October of last year, I will always love and miss her.

Good to see younger folks enjoy our music! I was 4 years old when this song came out and always heard it playing on the radio. The 60's and 70's saw the best music ever recorded, and I truly feel like those decades will always be remembered, even more so than the great composers of classical music!

As a drummer for 53 years, this guy is tight. Great dance-band style arrangement. Great band, too.
I zeroed in on the drums too. Very solid effort
Patrick Upton's vocals are great, too. It's really hard to hit those high notes with so much force.
Vinny Parello on drums. Looks like these guys actually played on the record, instead of using The Wrecking Crew or some other bunch of studio guys. Eventually broke up due to poor management and financial squabbles.
Today's drummers have speed and at times seem to be superhuman but lack soul. We are cut from the same cloth.

Sitting here at 62 years old, memories flooding my mind from my childhood
This song isn’t really how I remember it. I haven’t heard the actual song with the lyrics before. I have memories of a music box that played this song, it was a little dog figurine depicting a mother cocker spaniel with her puppy climbing on her back. It makes me sad to think about that music box now that it’s gone. It was my grandmother’s and for a long time, the music would play lethargic and slow because presumably someone else wound it too tight or something. (She bought the dogs at a white elephant sale a long time ago.) But one day I remember I wound it up and suddenly the melody played at normal speed and it was so beautiful my jaw dropped! Then it never played like that again. I think we took it in along with a couple of other beaten-up music boxes to get repaired, but the person who worked in the clock shop we went to said he couldn’t fix music box mechanisms, so the poor dog figurine was presumably dumped or smashed with a hammer, how devastating! If I manage to find a duplicate of that specific music box, I’ll have to let my grandma know about it so we can have it in our wonderful little lives again.
