- After months of waiting, UHQR's reissue of "Aja" by Steely Dan arrived, and I immediately knew I wanted to do an unboxing video! As you will see, it is a great package that Chad Kassem/UHQR have put together, and does (incredible) justice to one of the best SOUNDING albums ever. The package itself is great...but the vinyl sounds so, SO good! I did NOT record any sample audio for this video (it really wouldn't ever sound as good as it does in person), so you'll just have to take my word for it and grab yourself a copy before they sell out!

By the way, did you also buy the Geffen $30 repress released simultaneously and compare the two (I mean obviously at 5x the price I'd hope the UHQR sounds better), but am wondering for the mass market that UHQR price point is often a barrier of entry and a source of hesitation for most, so a lot of people around me have gone for the Geffen releases, and at least for the Can't Buy a Thrill release they said the sound of the Geffen was stellar, enough to not necessitate purchasing the UHQR

5:06 Black is the absense of color when it comes to light, however in terms of physical pigments black is the combination of all colors.
While you are correct, I was doing an unboxing of an album moreso than giving an art lesson :). Just an off-the-cuff comment.
Black vinyl contains more carbon black. CB is used in industry to dissipate static electricity.

Black is the absence of color, and white is all the colors...in regards to light. But with paint black is a conglomeration of all colors, and white is the absence of color... theoretically speaking. LoL
