Some ways to make money as a music artist can feel more out of reach or daunting than others. While that may be true for how SOME musicians make a living with music online (IE becoming a part-time cinematographer at gigs like me, lol) it doesn't have to be for all of them.

Things like building your own beat store or your own hub to sell the music production services you offer are super easy to do these days. And it's one way I do recommend people monetizing their craft. There is always going to be a need for music from someone.
Other ways would be by creating your own content (or filming content for others). Ad revenue from UA-cam was one of the many ways I was even able to invest back into my studio. The money isn't always great in the music niche but when you can land those videos that do really well, and are searchable for years to come, you can earn a livable amount of passive income.
Aside from these ways, holding events and having shows will not only increase your artist presence but give you the chance to create an experience for an audience that would love to pay. Anyone can find your music streaming online. And not everyone is going to be looking for beats to buy or services offered from you. So, you'll also need to create these avenues for the average listener. Listening parties, performances, meet ups, you name it. Whatever the case, in-person experiences or just experiences in general to start are a great way to build your name, connect with your fans, and charge whatever ticket price you want for it.
These are just 5 of the ways that I make money. Most of which is not directly centered around my music at all but moreso the content I create around it. the industry is moving and we have to keep up with it while still keeping up with ourselves by staying true to our artistry. It is a delicate balance but one that I believe we can all achieve with the right amount of patience and information. So let me know if this helps!

As a music artist, you can make money through various streams such as performing live shows and concerts, selling merchandise and music online, licensing your music for commercials or films, royalties from streaming platforms or radio play, and offering music production services or teaching lessons. Diversifying your income sources is crucial in sustaining a successful career in the music industry.

Cousins
@@IAMLXGEND NO WAAAAY!!!! 🤯 This means you got some serious vocal chops my bro!!! I played for him some years back when he did a drop in set in Atlanta... I'm in Tulsa now...
Hey bro ⚪️💚 do we get paid by distributors for streams on Spotify for uploading licensed Cover songs ?
✅How do we collect royalties for Performance Rights & Masters Rights of our Cover songs ?
I can't speak for cover songs because I don't release them. As for performance rights, you need to join a P.R.O. like ASCAP, SESAC, or BMI.
You never mentioned merch. Shirts, cds digital download.otherwise it was an good video
does anyone have any idea on how to make money selling lyrics??? im really good at song writing so i wanted the help
You just have to find people who need lyrics for their songs. You can try joining the LANDR Marketplace and upload your services there. Or Fiverr / Freelancer / Upwork
I made $2 while buskin outside a bar
I used to busk and sometimes made $350 in three or less hours. Not everywhere is ideal for busking and of course how good you are matters
co-g profile??

Dude you can't put 3 ads on a 8min video it's ridiculous
I didn’t. UA-cam did.
