    == Tips For Cooking Bacon Perfectly ==
    - Heat the frying pan over medium high heat
    - Place each piece of bacon so it is touching the pan. Don't overcrowd the pan.
    - Turn the pieces of bacon over frequently. Rotate the slower cooking pieces on the outside of the pan to the center. Watch the bacon closely. Keep the pieces as flat as possible as it cooks.
    - Remove pieces of bacon as they become done and place them on a paper towel covered plate to drain.
    Obviously this bacon is perfect served with eggs, pancakes, hash brown potatoes, bacon lettuce tomato sandwiches and everything else.

    If you want to cook a lot of bacon, say for more than just yourself, you may want to try cooking it in the oven. Check out my new video on how to do it without making a mess in the oven: ua-cam.com/video/CMaxIt2_wwM/v-deo.html It's even easier than cooking it in a pan.

      +Eleonora B. Hi Eleanora, congratulations on your first cooking endeavor! You follow directions well. Please make sure to always have your parents permission to cook something okay? I think it's awesome that you like to cook and that you took the time to watch a video to learn how to do it. Thanks for watching my video! Btw, my husband and I visited Italy for the first time in 2012 and absolutely loved it! The food was amazing, fresh and delicious! We even took a cooking class in Florence! Have a wonderful day!! Keep cooking and learning.

    It's important to note for people new to simple cooking that you should never pour bacon grease down your sink because it will cool and harden, blocking your plumbing. Either pour it into an old jar and throw the jar out when it's full, or wait until the grease cools and wipe your pan down with paper towels before washing the pan in the sink.

    • @RockinRobinCooks

      And even better, pour it in a container, then in your freezer. Give that to the birds in wintertime. Those that will eat it are the ones that eat bugs, so you really want to help them out.

      First of all thank you for trying my recipe even though you already have a great technique! So now you have two ways to make bacon. I would think if you were making some for a crowd, the oven method might work better as you could make a large amount. How long do you cook the bacon in the oven?

    • @Tmidiman
      @Tmidiman 5 років тому +1

      Rockin Robin Cooks 40 minutes @ 400, for thick bacon. I move it once after 14 minutes, so it doesn’t stick. I’ve used just a baking sheet and foil, but moved to parchment paper and a rack to lift it up. Yes this is my crowd method now. About to try your way with thick cut.

    • @Tmidiman
      @Tmidiman 5 років тому

      The verdict: regular bacon in a skillet (fast), thick bacon or bacon for a crowd in the oven (slower). Both methods work. Cooking in a skillet now to add to my sub sandwich. Thanks again Rockin’ Robin!

I'm a trucker and I'm only home for a couple day every 2 weeks so I like to cook myself a hearty breakfast of bacon and eggs and either toast or english muffins. Fried eggs that is, fried in the bacon grease lighted salted and peppered then all cut up so that yolk makes a sort of gray, yummmmm.

      it only explodes when it's angry! If your bacon pops then it's likely the pan is too hot, turn it down a notch and your bacon should have a fierce sizzle, but should never explode at you. Same with eggs, use one notch down from medium for perfectly set sunny side ups to go with your crispy straight bacon!

      I just cooked some bacon perfectly and it didn't pop. Maybe your bacon has been injected with water, some supermarkets do that to make it look bigger. Try to find dry cured bacon, it shouldn't pop.

      you dont need to grease the pan. Bacon has more enough; and that applies to all different forms of pans (non stick, aluminium, ceramic etc)

      Hi JJumpman, I hope your mom approves of your cooking and is there to help you out in case something comes up. Please ask her permission when cooking bacon because it creates a lot of hot grease that can burn you or even cause a fire if the grease goes over the pan and near the flame or if the grease gets really hot.
