I have used Solo, Milwaukee, Ryobi, and Makita battery operated sprayers in my business. I don't rate any of them too highly. I hate the way the seals in the lid leak after time in the Solo ones and you end up with chemicals all down your back. Also had some big issues with the Solo batteries letting go. I owned 8 of the solo sprayers you just demonstrated as well as a bumber of the smaller ones. Also found the warranty from Solo terrible. I eventually settled with Ryobi as the best of a bad bunch. At least Ryobi have excellent warranty. Back to bunnings with you reciept, no questions asked and walk out with a brand new one same day.
    Loved the plot updates.
Another great video, please keep up the good work.

You can also get a spare battery for the 441 from solo which is super handy

If yours has the plastic coupling on the hoses, replace them with metal ones asap. Because the pump is on the top, it’s not fun to have herbicide running down your back half way through a spray like what happened to me. Mine leaves quite a bit of liquid too. Pretty annoying.

Awesome review, thanks Emma! What size would you recommend for a lawn ~ 160-170sqm?

I have a 10 litre solo battery sprayer i purchased a few seasons ago, it gets used often. I cant compare it to anything else because its all I've used in the battery range. No air locks on mine.
Look good out the front 👍
    Good info, thanks.

Hi Emma. Did the sprayer come with the dual spray head or is that purchased separately?

I have a solo 417 backpack running a double boom as it can get upto 4.5bar. Hate that it leaves about 500ml of product in until you start wearing it on 1 shoulder. Do you think this new 441 could be used with a double boom even though the max pressure is only 2.5bar?

Ffs just got to the end of the video and you're using it with a double boom 😂😂

I run both the 417 and 441 I think the later is a little under powered for it.
The 417 has a great pumps but the waste at the end, not coming stock with a brass lance and the harness could be improved.

I completely agree with you Emma. Not only could I see zero reason why they can't fix this wastage issue. I don't agree that even ~ 100ml is acceptable. Not only are you forced to rehandle highly poisonous chemicals, what are you supposed to do with that 100ml? Put it in a hand spray bottle? Triple or quadruple handling the chemical.
So, I home built my own which can be set up to use what ever battery system you already have. Only leaves what ever residue is normal left in any container holding a fluid.

The solo sales manager literally told me to “make sure the inlet nozzle is flat against the bottom” (yeah rightio champ no sh*t), and then he said “just tilt the sprayer to one side so it pools near the inlet nozzle”. Seriously what the actual f*ck is that response? Instead of designing the sprayer properly the first time they pull this stunt.

The fact they released earlier models with the stupid nozzle inlet design, knowing during the RnD testing that there was liquid being leftover, amazes me. Total amateurs.
