thank you for your information … i have a 2006 4runner 126,000 miles… i will prepare for its preventive maintenance… your video is so helpful … i would like to buy the 10 pack for $12 … and replace the bearing to all the idler pulleys … with your other video to replace the alternator i am guided … thanks for making these videos…👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
Great video, thanks. I've been noticing a whining noise from the engine compartment for a few months on my '07....got my stethoscope out today and narrowed it down to the idler (about blew out my eardrums when I found the problem). I'm going to use your links to get the Timken. I'm lazy and never want to change it out again...ha
Well time to to to the junkyard and fit a pulley that fits my car but has replaceable bearings.
Japan made Koyo 6302 RMX are the OEM bearings in my 2012 Toyota Tacoma idler pulleys. Good video but I wouldn't use Chinese made junk unless you want to be replacing them frequently.
Love UA-cam for this reason. Thanks for showing us how to do this.
The Amazon links for the bearings in the description were a different size than my OEM bearings. I have a 2011 Tacoma, V6, same everything -- same blue paint even -- and my OEM bearings were slightly larger than what came from Amazon. Both #2 idler pulleys, same thing -- different size. I don't think the Amazon products were wrong, but instead I think my engine's OEM idler pulleys are different than yours.
That belt was a job. Oh my. Hardest one I’ve ever put on. Thanks for the post.
I did a video doing mine.

I did it on my friend's 11 tacoma, it was tricky i noticed, good thing is you can see what you're doing in comparison to transverse engines
Very helpful video. Im having the same problem on my 2011 toyota tacoma .I will definitely try this.
A refreshingly nice no bull video
Thats what I do to my vehicles. I press the old one's out and new ones back in. Saves a lot of money that way.
Just replaced the tensioner idler and one other on my 2.7 Tacoma but my 2005 with 150,000 had all Koyo bearings made in Japan good quality bearing replaced them with the same
This is a fantastic video and channel
Thank you very much.
Thanks for the measurements.
Nice video. I’m about to replace my bearings and belt How many miles are on yours? Thanks for posting.
We have about 280,000 on it now.
Where you buy the bearing? And what is the part number? I need to buy some bearing
what was the impact socket size used to tap in bearing in?
Will this method work in my 2017 tacoma v6? The idler number 2 are wobbly.
Will these bearings work with all the pulley and guides?
I am not sure about all of them, I know at least two use the same bearing.
