Solo building is hard, but it’s worth it! Cheaper than gym and you can see what you have done ✅ at the end of the session ❤. This edit makes me want to get out and doing again 🎉
It reminds me how our ancestors used to build all sorts monuments simply out of stones and dirt for a religious or other reason. And how do we know about it thousands of years later? Because they're still there. Biking aside, you might be doing something that will have a mark on this planet for a very long time :) (even though i know, many of your trails get destroyed by the wood industry)
Hi! I have a huge question, to make trailbuilding there you need any type of permission, title or something? Im from Spain and its hard make trails cause its "ilegal" you need permisión of councils, some public organism Thanks if you can give me an answer
It depends on the location, I would never build in a park. Mountain bikers have land use agreements with local forestry here in BC and we also have crown land
Yoo, really nice to see the timer on the bottom left, that's sth i wanted for a long time ^^. Btw i wanted to ask: How long do you dig on avg per session, cuz moving those amounts of dirt must be hella exhausting!
I try to go out for a full 8 hours. When you take away driving, getting into the zone, setting up shots and taking breaks, about 5ish of that is actual dirt moving
You are amazing! The dedication you have to your riding, building and the artistry of what you build is past the word of impressive. It's admirable! Can't wait to see you hit it!
Insane, the anount of rocks and roots you have to dig through is no joke. Caterpillar or John Deere neee to sponsor you, your a human skid steer 😂 cant wait for you to session this, great job!
This is art 🙌🏼 that timelapse was insane and really puts into perspective how many hours went into it with the timer in the corner. It’s truly inspiring as a builder myself
This is more then amazing, I love hand builds and I do them myself too. I always enjoy building videos or photos of these projects. It helps me learn by watching what others better then me.
Check out my Instagram stories for daily updates on the build! instagram.com/markymath

Gladly accepting any excavator sponsorship lol

why were you digging ruts into the landing at 3:20?
To stack it outwards more
Man, the sheer amount of dirt you moved is seriously impressive. And your build style is sick 🤘. Can't wait to see you send it off that beast!
Thanks.. can’t wait!
Mark are you in Squamish next Wednesday?
Love that dirt Mark!! Waiting the tabletop on the drop 🍻🍀
Your actually a nutter. But in the best way possible! Keep my dreams alive man! 🤟🤟🤟
Haha cheers!
Tour de Mathew’s?
haha perhaps!
Please, when you complete this line invite a bunch of pros to come and enjoy it ! Would make for some amazing creativity on your handy work !
Thats the plan!!!
I took him literally when he said "we're going to stack..." Didn't know he meant the royal "we" 😄
Haha 90% solo
Hey Mark, in Canada are you aloud to just build your trails anywhere, is this private land, or does the park service not care?
It depends on the location, I would never build in a park. Mountain bikers have land use agreements with local forestry here in BC and we also have crown land
Why don't you put logs under the dirt, so that you wouldn't need to stack that much dirt on the landing? Cool build nonetheless.
I use as much rock as I can, wood rots and isn’t as solid
In a thousand years they'll wonder if it was a place for ritual sacrifices 😊
Hahaha
Duuuuudeeee 🤯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

So sick brother.

Wow this is huge. what are the height/length dimensions in meters ?
I have not measured but my rough guess is 7 vertical meters from lip to top of landing, roughly the same distance out
@@MarkMatthewsMTB wow, it’s fat…
