Awesome! I learnt so many things about nulls today and Thank you for providing the resources for such low price, I'm already in! Hope to see more motion design tutorials in future!
Hey!! So happy that you liked it! Yes Nulls are amazing! I use them all the time! Hoo thank you!! I really appreciate it! Yes I’ve more tutorials in mind. Mostly these kinetic type tutorials and maybe some animation focused ones too! Have a good day and thank you!!!
@masd LAB I enjoyed the tutorial. Quick question, for the motion tile, you multiplied it by 7. it worked perfectly to make a clean loop! Why 7? You mentioned doing some basic math but I wasn't sure what that math was. Does it have to do with 10 seconds comp total length? Or because the 1080 pixels? Would multiplying by 7 make a perfect loop on a different sized or time length composition. Thanks for any help! Looking forward to more tutorials!
Hey!! Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!! God such a good question. I hoped no one asked me that eh eh. So for some reason, I wasn’t able to loop it with round numbers. I think something with the motion tile values didn't let me do that. Then I noticed it looped ok, with odd numbers. It was pretty much that! I didn't investigate why. As it was working ok, with the odd numbers. So I lived with it ehe. Sorry for not having a better explanation for it! Sometimes it’s just luck, and it’s really hard to explain it. Anyway! Thanks again for watching and enjoying the tutorial! I will make more for sure! Just really busy with work atm! But I’ve so many cool things to share! Have a good week!
I know the true correct answer for this would be "Try it yourself," but as I only had time to watch this tutorial and not try it out at the moment, I was wondering if one could use half the amount of nulls and just pick whip two different corner pins to the same null.
Hi!! Such a good question! The corner pins use the nulls position for their own position. (If you link the corner pins to the main null. They will take the main null as their position. Maybe we could modify the expression, and use less nulls.. But I not sure how it would work! But it is a valid question!! I need to have a look at that!!
Roughly around the duplication composition my typography is going around clockwise in comparison to yours. Is there something that I'm missing as I have followed your steps step by step?
I’m guessing it must be the rotation of your composition before you apply the corner pins. I guess if everything else is working, It must be that. Try to rotate the text inside of you comp. And change the orientation of the motion title. Hope it works! Let me know!! Cheers
@@MasdLab I'll definitely give that a try thanks! The expression for some reason doesn't work. It makes the text actually disappear also so I'm unsure about that too.
Thx gor the tutorial iam almost done except there is one problem when i move the main null the texts are not moving although i did connect each nulls with the main null
Sorry just saw your comment! Hopefully, you manage to do it. Let me know. Sometimes just need to go to purge the memory of after-effects. To clean up the cache. As it can give us that type of error. Let me know! Cheers

I got error while writing the expressions it says a.toComp is not a function. Please help. Edit : Solved : By mistake I pick whipped the corner pin property to null object's position instead of pick whipping to the null object itself, doing the reverse cleared the error
Hoo sorry just seen this! But I'm glad you solved it!!! Yes it's tricky sometimes with the pick whip things! Amazing! I hope you enjoyed the Tutorial :)
Hi!! Of course! Here’s a quick explanation The fromCompToSurface() expression is like a translator. It can convert a point's coordinates from the composition's coordinate system to a layer's own coordinate system. In other words, it's telling After Effects: "Hey, don't treat the whole composition as the reference for this null's position. Instead, treat this specific layer (with the corner pin) as the reference." When you apply the fromCompToSurface() expression to the null's position, you're making the null understand the layer's corner pin coordinates as if they were in the same "language" or coordinate system. Now, when you whip the null's position to a corner pin on the layer, the null doesn't jump somewhere random. It perfectly aligns with the corner pin because both are now using the same reference for their position-the layer's coordinate system. In summary, the fromCompToSurface() expression is a workaround to make sure that null objects and corner pins "speak the same language" in terms of their position coordinates. This ensures that the nulls correctly follow the corner pins without any unexpected jumps or misalignments. I hope it helped!
Thank you so much MASD! you're the GOAT!

Good tutorial. I like how you use the initial after effects window to show the effect you are going to do, it is original!
Thank you!!! Yeah, I always struggle with the intros. I'm glad this one worked!! Thank you! :)
@@MasdLabbesides illustrator tutorual u need to also mke tutorials on animating designs since thats what popular this days.
