  • The McGill Crunch might not be the most exciting exercise in the books, but it's great for those of you rehabbing low back injuries or looking to strengthen your core in a safe way. We like it because it is an entry level exercise that helps to train your body to stabilize while maintaining a neutral position through the spine, ribcage and pelvis.
Check out this tutorial to learn how to get the most out of this exercise.
Fun Fact: This exercise is named after Stuart McGill, one of the world's most recognized back specialists!

Head and neck should just barely come off ground. The way McGill explains it, pretend your head is on a scale and lift off just so it reads zero.
