Anywho I wanted to talk to you about I challenge I was doing as was wondering if you wanted to help me with sorta... routing it would be the correct term I think. To cut to the chase Painful is having it's 10th anniversary this year and I wanted to do a hell challenge of a Brad solo run (no joy and the usual suspects). Course that would uhhhh hell to route just by myself and was wondering you wanted to help?
Hmm, I mean to be honest with ya I'm not sure how much of a help I could be with that. I don't really do much routing for my runs (having to redo this video's challenge is basically a consequence of that lol) as personally, I enjoy the element of surprise that comes from learning and adapting myself to the challenge while doing the run. Also, I actually haven't really replayed Painful in at least couple years (nor have I done any challenge runs for it), so I wouldn't say I have as much intimate/intuitive knowledge for it as I would, say, Pointless. So I'm not sure how good I'd be at routing for it in the first place. That said (while I haven't watched it myself) there IS a video of someone beating Painful without Joy and Brad only which could be a good place to start: ua-cam.com/video/xaY6fdE46Ik/v-deo.html It's done in Normal mode though, so if you were looking to do run in Pain Mode you'd have to adapt around it. (I remember that Pain Mode adds Vic Cherry to Sweet Tea Rakeem's fight, and Hawk Hollywood becomes a Joy Mutant, but I can't remember right now if there's anything else that's relevant besides the limited saves.)
