Owned a grilled cheese truck in NYC called Food Freaks back in 2012, we had a sandwich called the arthur ave. And we'd stop every few days at Casa Della Mozzarella to pick up our fresh mozzarella and soppresatta. It truly is the best and the experience of the neighborhood is one of the best in the city. Great job giving these guys the spot light.
NYC is not ideal for a food truck business and one of my 3 partners was trouble. Plus my skills were better suited for the internet. Now I can share the recipes on my show and have them live on forever for anyone who wishes to try them, as well as all the other basics of cooking. I miss the truck, but am happier now.
Game Czar ill get to it eventually, my show is like a culinary school for home cooks, so I’m trying to make my way through things in a somewhat strategic way that makes sense to the viewers. Doing my best at least. But I’ll make one for sure eventually
Omg, that's so cool!! I can't believe you're one of the OG's. I was confident no one from the truck is still following along. I took some years to build a new set of skills to compliment my food chops and here I am on UA-cam, trying to keep up with the times. I hope you're well! Gonna be doing recipes from the truck soon.
Real success is having a child who looks up to you the way this man does. Fuck the money. Not saying money doesn't mean anything, but at the end of the day, and at the end of your life, the love and respect of your family is the true measure of a life well-lived.
That was a touching speech about his father. He's right too, people like his father are the American Dream. It's not about boatloads of cash, it's about doing something you love, being happy while doing it, making a good living, and bringing happiness to others if you can.
Great video. Love it all. The biggest thing I miss living here in middle America is good Italian Pastry. A beautiful place, there. I visited long ago out of college. Thank you for sharing.
Oh God I'm drooling! I am married to a Sicilian man and he introduced me to fresh mozzarella and my world changed! Fresh Mozzarella is so wonderful and so very diverse! The best cheese ever!
Native New Yorker from Bensonhurst Brooklyn born and raised my Nonna literally drove here 3-4 times a week for mozzarella she also went to pastosa ravioli and other shops in Bensonhurst but SHE loved arthur avenue in the Bronx and loved casa de mozzarella and so do I best sandwiches in nyc
I love seeing somebody create generational wealth for their children, now that young man can pass this skill onto his kids and so on. What an amazing video
"..and not just make it here, but REALLY make it here, and be successful. Not because of money, but because he's happy." goddamn! that wisdom hit me. great video, genuinely put a smile on my face
So I took this foodie general knowledge test last month (it was for a job), and one of the question was how do you make mozzarella - Honestly, I have no idea! I've made pressed cheeses and tofu - I thought it would be the same. - Thank you for making this video! I'd love to come into your store and see it for myself one day. I'm going to try and make my own now.
man, what a speech! I am not even American, but feeling patriotic nevertheless, haha :D Also, beautiful, to have a son admire his father so much - and for all the right reasons!
I'm not tearing up, but that end about the American dream and that, oh yes, he's AN IMMIGRANT - it was just beautiful. Also the #foodporn was REAL in this video, wowowowowow. Nice video my people.
What makes a great crawfish boil? Ask any Cajun from SW Louisiana. Great Mozzarella? Ask most Italians, but I'm sticking with the father in this video. My man is legit.
Immigrants make america. Immigrants made america. Immigrants brought cheese. Thank you for the cheese (and all the other things like democracy and bagels)
wtf is a 'fake' immigrant? illegal immigrants are people too, and positively contribute to society more than you and your shit comments. illegalimmigrationeconomics.weebly.com/the-positive-effects.html
Arman Khan any economic "bonus" received by allowing unfettered illegal immigration is paltry compared to the cultural and demographic shifts that occur in the host nation as a result.
" I couldn't be more proud to call him my father." Thanks for the great video.
Jeff Ward ,
This made me feel feels.
ikr? Dad didn't show it on his face, being an old Sicilian fella, but you know he's proud as hell of his son for taking on the family business.
Hes really cute too
this is fake news

It's so beautiful to hear the son talk about his dad in such a way.
That was a touching speech about his father. He's right too, people like his father are the American Dream. It's not about boatloads of cash, it's about doing something you love, being happy while doing it, making a good living, and bringing happiness to others if you can.
That was legitimately heart-warming. I bet that father was so happy to hear his son say that.
Great video. Love it all. The biggest thing I miss living here in middle America is good Italian Pastry. A beautiful place, there. I visited long ago out of college. Thank you for sharing.

Tasty is run by buzzfeed, so its always cringey and meant for the weak minded
