Brilliant ! Roof cutters are in a league of their own . i'm retired now but use to be a fairly good carpenter as long as there were no compound angles . for some reason my brain , no matter how much studying i did ,could not comprehend how to layout and cut these pieces . i'm always in awe of guys that can do this .
Beautiful work. You could hear how solid it is from the few hammer blows when the nailer wasn't in use. I hope skilled UA-camr's helping each other and sharing the events will contribute to the desperately needed growth of skilled tradespeople.
That was very kind of them to offer to help you. After the nightmare you both have had, it must be have been a rather up lifting feeling knowing someone actually bothered to help you. Crickey though, the way they work together, thats quite something. I work in the construction industry and the way they work together is very rare.

I think I would have stuck to making tea and cleanup as well. 😂 I hope this is the end of your roof problems. It must have been so stressful and upsetting dealing with the leaks and contractors.
Another great video, those birdmouth cuts seem to befuddle a few, but it’s like anything, practice makes perfect etc. Robin and Ed are great craftsmen and are a credit to the construction industry, they show just how hard hard-work is, but the results are for everyone to see. 😊

Being watching your vids for a few years now, along with Robin Clevett, Peter Millard and others. It's a lovely community that's lifted me up during hard times. Enjoyed the video, the roof looks solid and how it should have been from the start. Would be nice to see it when its tiled.

Brilliant work. I remember being that young, that agile & that hard working with brother in law. I could predict what he would require next i learned tons from him, we worked so well together. Sadly my spine gave out 10 yrs ago, Steve died this year.

This was great to see Keith, it's good to see cross-over videos from different channels, even if this was not so much a collaboration project, glad to see you got to make a few cuts anyway ! I thought you did well up on the roof preparing the space, but Robin & Ed just move around as confidently as on the ground, I can't imagine it, but I guess it gets easier ! Would have loved the opportunity to re roof robins work, it looks exceptional. I live 20 minutes away from Norwich myself and the roofs ive had to do from other carpenters are no where near the level of robins

Good job but had you known me I would have done the pitched part of the roof for you very very cheap, and also the tiling, Anyway you done it so well done. We are four different builders, one is a roofest for nearly 15 years , one is scafolder and rest two of almost does everytyhing. This would have been the project we done with joy and pretty quick actually.
Sure. When he was explaining how his app works and is doing all the maths? THAT is why I could never. Not even if my life depended on it! lol That's why you builders who do these things will ALWAYS be needed!

Honestly if I could get contractors that were that professional and quickly would be lovely but my god there good. But they confused the life out me at points with some the cut terminology and stuff they were coming out with. Nice job guys well done. 🏴👍

You could also measure the roof height using a laser level. They come with long distance sensors so you can measure up to 30m, 50m or even further away. I'm sure Robin has one. But at the same time he doesn't need it. Does he.
Just think, if you'd paid some 'proper' builders to come in and do it, that would have a been a 2 week job and you'd spend the next week cleaning up their mess!
Robin is my favorite builder making videos on UA-cam. So skillful, experienced, and knowledgeable. A true hands-on craftsman.

Hope you have a couple of dehumidifiers in the attic to dry it out. It may look dry etc but I guarantee there's still lots of water vapour in there.
