As one of the producers and arrangers of the original version, I applaud Kenyatta University Students' reinterpretation of Irene Namatovu's Nsambira Nyuma. Dr Elijah Adongo, you turned the song into a classic. Thanks.
The soloist, Truphena Melvin, Your Luganda melody with the sound of the Kiganda drums is top classy. Luganda is a tonal and phonetic language but Truphena made it so fluently. Looks like she grew up in Mengo or deep inside Luweero County. ❤❤👏. I love KU thou i went to another Kenyan University. My Uncle got his PHD, and later a Doctor of letters ( D.Lit) in Modernizing Luganda Language ( the first of its kind in Black African Language) at KU where he was also a lecturer. The brotherly opportunity offered to him made KU a friend of Uganda.
We are humbled to know that our school has played a major role in your life as well as impacted it positively. Anytime you are in Kenya please visit 💯😊❤️
