Shruti's journey back to the stage, with some help from Team UHN

March 7, 2020 started like any other Saturday for Shruti Kothari, but it ended up being a day that would change her life forever. During a morning yoga session, Shruti suffered a brain hemorrhage which left her effectively in a coma.
Following multiple brain surgeries at University Health Network's Krembil Brain Institute and Sprott Department of Surgery, and in-patient rehab with occupational and physical therapy at Toronto Rehab, on August 4, 2020, Shruti was able to go home and is still facing every day with her signature eternal optimism.
