Still love the conversions with Morrigan and Kieran. You can hear that love that Morrigan has for her son. What makes these conversations more wonderful is that Kieran is voiced by Claudia Black's real life son Which made the scenes with Mythal even more cry worthy.
Kieran reminds me of Sandal somehow. He mentioned the titans he said the same to the dwarf then to a human mage... that it could be worse when you can't touch magic at all. That Morrigan is an inheritor of some sort. That he doesn't understand why elves look like they do. He feels bad for the Qunari. I have the suspicion they are also elven but found a new religion (the qun) and cut themselves off from the olther elves. Then they tried to make themselves more powerful by getting dragon DNA (by a god or through magic or alchemy). And in exchange they forgot what they used to be. Also his comment that the qunaris blood doesn't belong to them. Because it is elven.
If I understand right with the part of Morrigan and Flemth/Mythal. Morrigan being in part Mythal's daughter could have inherited a part of Mythal's powers hence her knowledge of the old ways of magic hence Kieran's birth which was the result of the old ways of magic who in part carries the essence of an OLD GOD much like his grandmother who is an Elfen god, Hence why Kieran is magic sensitive do to being the grandson of an ancient god as well as a father whose was a Gray Warden (doesn't matter which way that went) as well as holding the Essence or in a way being a reincarnation of an old god. Kieran could have all the knowledge and in part memories of the time before time of each race hence his comments depending on the race of the inquisitor. Please note that i haven't really had a chance to play the Dragon AGe games and this is just based on the walkthrough and other game plays of other people but this is just my thoughts and option as well as an out of the box thinking.
Elves are heavily implied to be Spirits (inmortal, tied to magic and the fade naturally, would explain why Solas gets along with them so well, there're no half-elves, etc) so Kieran probably wonders why did Elves choose that appearance as their physical form.

Qunari are elves that tevintar magisters experimented on using dragons blood
